Haha. Can Richmond supporters ever get over 25 years of losing to the cats? Judging by the bitterness on this forum- it’s a big nope.
won the 3 times that mattered. What a silly comment

If the club in question is being deceitful around player availability then isn't the " lie " a reflection on the club ?
Trust me - nobody has more reason to dislike the Cats than a Dogs supporter, but I think we need to take our boo Geelong glasses off for a second, their hands are tied if there's a suppression order (which clearly there has been). If they don't tell a fib about an injury prognosis it looks suspicious to the point that it makes the suppression order pointless. If they are honest about the situation they breach the suppression order. They can't really do anything in this situation.

Why is said player on the injury list with Mackie telling lies about it?

Absolute crap behaviour from Geelong
Innocent until proven guilty, we do have a justice system. People need to wait until charges are laid and a verdict is given.

They would have strict instruction of what to do.

It's a legal matter with a suppression order specifically to an AFL club.
The court would not give instructions outside of a general suppression order .There would be no specific orders to an AFL club.
The reaction by the club will be up to its own morals, they will be dually judged by their actions.

Sure thing dude- clearly that means zilch- so many insecure tiger supporters swarm every Geelong thread. It’s a testament to how long the cats have been relevant and how long the tigers haven’t been, that you are so envious, so desperate to see us fall. It’ll happen one day dude, not to worry. But unlike so many of your mob, I won’t be losing any sleep over it. Season after season of being a real chance - does wonders for the soul-leaves one content and happy to see others have success.

I'm sure the club sought it's own legal advice.

They're dealing with an employee.

Obviously the court didn't instruct them...

The club itself are absolutely damned if they do damned if they don't from the outside looking in.

They can't say or do anything, be it stand someone down, sack them etc especially if he can't be named..
But even if a suppression order stops the club from saying or doing anything, the public will attack and accuse them of supporting a player that potentially has committed a serious crime..

If and when it comes out, I hope we fire him into the sun from a cannon, and anyone who has been stupid enough to believe the "finger injury" story deserves to feel like an idiot
