Just 2 old campaigners yapping away

Nobody is going to the police

''i'm gonna report you to the cops ''

' yeah yeah tell them I'll be here till sunday'

I put forward another scenario. RH annoying GL with drone, GL goes over to his campsite and says knock it off, it's against the law etc. Rh continues to buzz GL with the drone but this time GL pulls out his gun and shoots it down. RH confronts him over the gun (the story about it being taken from the car being a furphy), they fight over it, it discharges and CC is killed.

I am unconvinced by the GL story about RH's death by falling on his own knife, he could well simply have been dispatched as a witness.

It matches up with the amount of shots claimed by GL. Shooting a drone down though is a serious federal offence, he has motive to admit to RH taking his gun from his vehicle over admitting he shot RH's drone down starting the fight over the gun.

Fair point but remember RH was in his 70s, guns were given before his father died iirc and his daughter testified that the last and only time she recalls RH handling a gun was in her teens (mid 80s). Wife says guns were handed in in an amnesty (guessing post PA, so late 90s). The accident happened in late 90s.So we are talking almost 30 years of not handling a gun and I'm guessing it probably wasn't a magazine fed one back then?

I find it highly improbably given all that, that he was familiar enough to be able to load it, cycle it and shoot it with ease.
Maybe. But guns aren’t exactly complicated. I can easily load and shoot a gun and I have limited experience only via friends with their licenses.

That's a first your saying Hill was killed as the witness for the accidental death of Clay? It's possible but nobody has put it forward so far.

How did they work out he was bare foot btw?
if I recall correctly GL himself said Russell was barefooted when he died, so assuming this all went down as GL say's it did, I dont think Russell had time to put his shoes on??? I may be incorrect, happy to be corrected

I found it interesting to recap on DD's 'lowlights list' regarding the errors and things missed by prosecutors during their prosecution of the case.

There was a pair of mens well structured sneaker type shoes stowed in the canopy, on the driver's side of the RH vehicle. Apparently according to statements made by RH mates, he was an organizational stickler, a place for everything it was said.

It’s interesting Hill had a map marking where you could or couldn’t hunt for deer.

On Parks Victoria website. I have posted snips and links twice this week. https://www.parks.vic.gov.au/things-to-do/hunting

Where permitted, firearms, bows or crossbows cannot be fired for any purpose other than hunting deer. Firearms and bows must not be used (and must remain unloaded) within 100m of any designated camping area or designated picnic area.
Where is the actual distance to hunt away from campsite listed?

I find this scenario quite plausible. Has reasoned escalation points that make sense.

So as a big advocate for gun safety, he goes and does something unsafe and irresponsible with someone else’s gun?

Computer says no.
Scenario: RH did grab the gun because his upper most thought was to confiscate the gun from GL to 'reach him a valuable lesson about gun and hunting safety'. It is obvious from the recent history RH had speaking with other shooters/hunters in the area about shooting safety, that he was on a mission. I think it also likely that he would have been attempting to impress CC. Afterall, it was likely this trip was going to be the last opportunity they had to get together, because Victoria was locked down on the 23 March.

Teaching someone a valuable lesson about gun safety, by going to their vehicle and stealing their firearm, loading it and shooting it into the air.

Do you realise how ridiculous that sounds?

And the fact that you think CC might be aroused by that action, it’s pretty repulsive.

The fact that he was killed barefooted suggests he was ambushed IMO. I think the same was said for Clay. You wouldn't be outside your tent barefooted unless there was a reason?

This is really nice theory.

Make a nice screenplay for somebody to produce.

Going to copyright it?

Movie or 2 part series, with an option for a third part to include the trial?

Unfortunately, this is real life where people have been killed and the jury is deciding whether they were murdered or not.

The jury is deciding on the evidence provided in the Court Case, not wild flights of fantasy basing the "real" blame upon Hill and Clay.

They deserve the presumption of innocence too and to attack deceased persons with motives that neither the prosecution or defence have presented in open Court is pretty low

The thing that’s hard to ignore is out of every person in the world that could be camping there it was a man who had already spoken to other hunters on gun safety.

Something GL wouldn’t have known when potentially creating his story.

His story would be totally unbelievable had it been a complete random who hadn’t had an issue with guns

In the dark when walking in bare feet over stones and twigs and having just stolen the gun?
Oh and don’t forget apparently Hill got out of his tent, leaving the 73yo mistress behind, to go steal a gun out of someone’s car!

Yeah right, a 74 yo going to another man’s campsite 20 years younger, to steal a gun out of his car! Garbage

If anyone else would like this info on distance, see below;

I hope Rusty wore his brand new shiny sheriffs badge in this scenario….

And in pitch dark, in his pyjamas 🤔
