It's all spin from Gordon. He needs to stand firm to lure the best possible offer from GWS. If he came out and said Griffen is dead to us then GWS would offer a peanut exchange of picks. Like this they have to come to the party.

By the end of the day I really hope to see some sort of message from the club that the Griff to GWS trade is still being worked on. If the club is going to claim that they are charging towards the future united then Griff must be held accountable for his decision. I don't care about honouring contracts, I care about honouring your teammates and your club.

If it doesn't go through GWS have egg on their face for bringing a club to its knees... and for what?

I'm thrilled to bits that GWS are keen. Personally I dont understand why. He is 28. They really could do better with using their picks or targeting a 24 year old.

Clearly I would start the deal at overs, but come deadline day if Cameron was in the mix I'd settle to back down considerably. He is a proven gem. Boyd/Patton/4/7 anything can happen. With Cameron you know you get a genuine star performer in the 50.

I personally don't see GWS being at all interested to lose Cameron to gain a midfielder for 2/3 seasons plus lose another 10 year player.

Need to remember this time last year it was thrown around would a deal of Griffen and a pick secure pick one off GWS and most media people said it was no where near enough.

In conclusion I'd be happy if we come away with all our early picks in tact with pick 4. I will be creaming my jocks if 7 is there 2 but will settle for their second rounder with pick 4. But yeah I will be playing hard ball til the last day.

I've just been in touch with 7 other adult members. Two talking about cancelling (long standing) memberships, one with child in tears. That should keep Cyclops happy - the more upset supporters the better for him.

Talked to some of same people and others today. Of the two yesterday, one reconsidered. The other cancelled 4 memberships a short time ago.
