Coming back from a long break and co-captaining with footy_fumbler for the first half of the season before solely taking over the captaincy fully has been an absolute pleasure. Thinking back on the days when I was captain for three season and winning the wooden spoons, I could not help but think that I was the curse for the beginning of the season and self-doubt started to creep in. When this was exacerbated by the penalties from the tribunal, I realised that I can't halfarse this gig and think I can get away with it, especially when we are the reigning premiers.

I have seen some amazing progress from this year with quality rookies coming through Sterge, _Cayz_, Coxy_ and Michaels, strong performance from the non-Richmond affiliated Tarkyn_24, Shadow Man and sausageroll and consistent performance from the reliable and trustworthy Richmond teammates of Helen Wheels, footy_fumbler, Nuffers, @RodneyDangerfield,sante, Gentlemen, tigland, flaps and This Is Anfield.

Win or lose, it does not matter as the future of the Furies are blindingly bright.
