Pretty disappointing. I'd already put in my resignation at work as I thought I could make a living as a qooty player. It turns out that there are also others who are eligible for the Rising Star. Go figure.
Well that is embarrassing !!

Round 2

After some stellar debut performances from the class of season 28, round 2 saw a reduced output collectively from this season's rookies. Strebi3 was impressive in a forward pocket, kicking four goals in the Furies' win over the East Side Hawks. Antonio BlueVein and GCB85 were solid for the Bombers and Roys respectively with both picking up more than 20 disposals and five marks. Our round two nominee, MightyHawks86, played an all-round excellent game at centre half forward for the Furies, recording 18 disposals, eight marks, four tackles and a goal while holding his opponent to nine touches for the day.

I sat down with MightyHawks86 and Furies' captain TJASTA to discuss the rookie's performance.

MightyHawks86

BB: How did you find your way to the Sweet FA? How are you finding the experience so far?

MH86: Qooty world tour opened my eyes. As for the Furies, after spending my life as a Hawk in the Blue/Gold & Purple pit of despair known as Perth, the allure of the Hippodrome dumpsters was simply too much to resist.

BB: You picked up 18 disposals, eight marks and four tackles at centre half forward while keeping your opponent to just nine touches in just your second game. Are you afraid of peaking early or can we expect to see this kind of performance week in, week out from you?

MH86: Expectations are like lovers to me. Better not to have any for fear of crippling self-doubt and possible harm to either party. That being said, my last effort yielded 2 marks and 0 disposals, so even I have to get lucky now and then.

BB: Which AFL player would you compare your qooty style to and why?

MH86: I'd like to say Jarryd Roughead, but don't want to taint the legend's legacy. I'll say Tyrone Vickery except with the kicking and footy smarts of anyone but Tyrone Vickery.

BB: Thanks for your time mate. Good luck for the rest of the season

TJASTA

BB: It's early days but how is MightHawks86 fitting in at the Furies?

T: He is fitting in quite well. When Tigerturbulance and The Half Back wants you to move your dumpster a bit closer to him, you know you're one of the big boys at the Hippodrome.

BB: MightyHawks86 bounced back from zero disposal, two mark game last week to be the Furies best player this week. How does that kind of turnaround from a young player make you feel as a captain?

T: Oh, it makes me swell up with pride. All the way to the bottom of my loins.

BB: Your other rookie, Strebi3, has also had a solid start to the season. What sort of training program have you got MightyHawks86 and Strebi3 on at the Hippodrome?

T: Pretty much the Furies usual "training program". KFC, Red Rooster and Charcoal Chicken in the morning. Speed, weed, heroin, cocaine, mushrooms, Pine O Clean, petrol, battery acid, acid, salvia, meth and Ajax Spray and Wipe in the afternoon. And a visit to Kitten's at night, Ned_Flanders mother is always accommodating to the rookies.

BB: That's lovely to hear. I look forward to catching up with her when we visit the Hippodrome. Thanks for your time and good luck for the rest of the season.

This is what happens, when you get rid of a committee, to have a dictator choosing .... anti Bomber Bias at its best ... Antonio BlueVein was the shortest price favourite ever .... disgusted

Nothing against you MightyHawks86
