Well, if this award is as impartial as the “sim,” then think I’m pretty safe from having to do any work next season.

Nice work on the two pages of “no, you” sledges 👍🏻👍🏻
Real quality effort. I’ll be sure to let my nephew know to look out for you in the kindy playground. You know, as east marks for him to take your lunch money.

If you need help sing out

Welcome back to the Rising Star Award, the one where you pretend to care for a season so that you can have a fake trophy on that cabinet right beside your first place in Year 7 long jump back in 2004 (Yes, boomers, thats when these rookies were still in school). The S32 committee have been in frequent, heated discussion about how to run these awards and we've settled on the fact that we're lazy the quality of the rookies hasn't been good enough to suggest a rookie every round. So, this year rookies, there will be 10 nominations, a top 10 if you will. If by some miracle, more than 10 of you impress, there may be 2 lucky losers that will also go into the running for this prestigious award.

Congratulations Bulldogs85 on being the second nomination for Season 33 Rising Star. This Gumbies rookie has made quite an impact early in his Sweet FA career and spent a few moments with me talking about his journey so far.

1. How have you found your first couple of weeks in the Sweet FA?
I have really enjoyed my first couple of weeks on sweet FA

2. How did you come to be recruited by the Gumbies and has anyone there been guiding you?
There was an exhibition game on the Bulldogs board so that’s how I was recruited by the Gumbies.

3. What goals do you have for your future in the Sweet FA?
My main goal this season is to win a premiership with the Gumbies and just have some fun along the way

4. Which Sweet FA players so far have made an impression, either positive or negative, on you?
DenieD and Barrybran have been really supportive explaining the rules when I first joined.

5. Have you seen any other rookies so far that have impressed you?
Another Gumbies rookie CatToTheFuture has impressed me

6. What do you think are your chances of winning Season 33 Rising Star?
I would say 50/50. There are some great rookies I’ve come across so there is some tough competition.

7. One final question. How will you deal with one of my patented extinction event shirtfronts when you play the Wonders?
I would probably return the favour!

Well, it’s been a pleasure talking to you, as I’m sure it has been for you talking to me! There you have it, a rookie of few words, clearly disillusioned by the fact he thinks the Gumbies are a shot for the premiership.Good luck for the rest of the season and The S33 Rising Star!

Oh, this is still going. Nice one Bulldogs85. Kicking goals in and off the field. Well, off the field. You're stopping goals on the field. You know what I mean.

Congrats Bulldogs85 on the nomination.

Might as well give him the award now.

This is a smart play nominating a Gumby early in the piece (a very deserving Gumby) a few smart graphics and a decent interview.

This will prevent or at least delay me taking over this award, can't speak for CursingFijian though.
