And that midfield has been carrying the club for the past two years.

Look at where Port was in 2022 prior to Josh Carr's hiring. And look at where Freo is AFTER Carr left for Port.

So, yes, you can say that an INJURED Zak Butters failed to play out the match (and Rozee sucked but he's been useless all year), but I don't know how you can make the argument that the midfielders choked when EVERYONE (maybe besides JHF and Boak) sucked.

And that this club has choked PRIOR TO Carr's hiring.

You Victorians need to get your heads out of your asses mate! The Port of 2012 and the current club are two totally different beasts! One, a bottom club on its knees financially and about to be culled from the comp, and the other, a financially strong, perennial finals contender, with 70,000 members. There will be a line up of good quality assistant coaches wanting the job.
