• I thought the 2017 Elim would be.

• I thought the 11-4 to 12-10 slide in 2018 would be.

• I thought the Ben Brown Bowl at the end of 2019 would be.

• I thought the 2021 Prelim would be.

• I thought 0-5 to start 2022 would be.

• I thought straight sets in 2023 would be.

• I thought the 2024 Qualifying Final would be.

My burner is still copping laugh reacts from the usual cucks on Facebook following the Collingwood game.

No result can sway these people. A 200 point loss this week wouldn’t do it. They’d just pivot to it being the players fault, and bemoan associated negativity from the ‘haters’.

In hindsight he should have been sacked in 2017 when he tried to leave to go to the Gold Coast.

At the same time, I don't think any one could have looked at the situation and thought he was gone in either 2018 or 2019 seeing as he still had a long contract.

But we've more or less been waiting week by week ever since the 2021 prelim. The difference of course this season is that he actually does have a finalised end date irrespective of how results go. The only question now is whether said date will be brought forward in the event of poor results. That's a massive difference compared to previous years where they couldn't even bring themselves to the idea of letting him go.

This year is like serving the last year of a long prison sentence and you hope that they might release you a few months early.
Well, I hope we supporters are Andy, Josh Carr and the club are Red and Kenny and the Hinkley family connection is Brooks, metaphorically speaking of course… 🙄

Someone should have been held accountable for that 2017 contract. Why was it given in the first place? Why was it so long?

They kept extending his contract for way too long and then effectively doing nothing about his performance because he's got a contract.

"club hero" !!!!! he really doesn't get it, does he.
I look forward to Gerard hailing Hinkley amongst these greats of the coaching game:
  • Rodney Eade, Sydney* and Bulldogs Hero
  • Don Pyke, Adelaide* Hero
  • Brad Scott, North Melbourne Hero
  • Ross Lyon, St Kilda* and Fremantle* Hero
  • Nathan Buckley, Collingwood* Hero
  • Michael Voss, Carlton Hero

*Actually more successful than our pal hinkles

Whateley is one of the most detestable pieces of shit in this whole saga. I want to know his reasoning behind the scenes for the troll-levels of defending him, is his agent the same as Hinkley, Peter Blucher or something yes? it's gotta be those sort of connections at the end of the day.

my other guess is also realistic in my eyes. Whateley is a sickeningly gigantic Star Wars geekazoid, and has roleplay fantasy nights where he's Princess Leia and Ken's Darth Sidious and there's a lot of "torturing" and "force lightening", and Ken has the videos.

Well KT sort of took the bullet for that.

The 2023 deal was the one which I have a problem more than any other extension.
