This is precisely why I don't judge Marshall too harshly. He's obviously underperforming but I think the talent is there but it is being coached out of him. We are seeing the same with Georgiades.

Bingo. His best football is as a finesse linkman — a sort of poor man’s Luko — always has been, and he’s currently in a role that demands him be bash’n’crash just to be effective, let alone grow as a player. Down on confidence, down on form, absolutely no point to him.

Would be like chucking Riley Bonner into the guts and getting annoyed when he can’t win his own footy.

If Ben Brown was a Port, the world would be saying the game had passed him by.
