Caroline Wilson

When Kane Cornes says that the fans have turned on him she raises her eyebrows and says " 2 Prelims in a row. A man who has come in with David Koch and others and rebuilt that football club". She then went on to comment calling us "more of a recipient club of the AFL" and said she remembers Hinkley having to ask the club for a longer contract and more support because of the Adelaide environment when things aren't going well. So basically we're all supposed to just sit down and shut up because Hinkley helped the club out a decade ago. fu** me!

Kane got his lines from the club. Caroline from Ken.

Unfortunately Victorian journos, eg Caroline Wilson just don't get it, the wobblers sacking a club legend who went within a gnat's appendage of winning a flag, St Kilda sacking a bloke (Stan Alves) shortly after he got them into a gf, and Richmond sacking Tony Jewel after he coached them to a premiership are just a few examples, but apparently supporters of the little old blue collar club from Alberton have to suffer in silence and be thankful for their lot.

F*** that shit!

My Take

David Koch is the weakest campaigner in the history of weak campaigners and an absolute blight on the once proud history of the club.

Richardson is the 2nd weakest.

Ken Hinkley is a semi literate used car salesman, who when his very basic plan A fails is clearly f*****, and then he just sits there with his arms folded and lips pursed interspersed with regular sips on cans of lolly water.
How much more evidence do they need to see he is not up to it?

Tom Jonas is a low on talent C grade hack who would struggle to be on the list of many clubs, and as for his comment about the forwards main option is to bring the ball to ground (or words to that effect), that would be music to any half decent oppo coach's ears.
When the so called captain comes out with crap like that no wonder the team can't handle the weight of expectation, and falls over time and time again.

For this club to get anywhere all four of them need to Get The F*** OUT!

Yes when he took over we were at the lowly mark of 14th, but now our saviour Ken has taken us to the dizzying heights of 18th. Thankyou Ken!

didn’t El_Scorcho and his mate try something like this and almost found themselves hanging from a Moreton Bay Fig?

They should try hang it over Alberton then the club might get the message.

Lol Graham Cornes doing his best to pump up Hinkley... and then he blames 'game plan'.

Who the hell does he think is responsible for game plan?? Alfie Treblecock????
Wouldn't listen to what Graham Cornes has to say at all.

He knows good and damn well what he is trying to do. Pump up Hinkley make him sound like gold just so Koch can be stupid enough to offer him another contract because he heard an ex player that supports a rival club speak highly of him? **** off.

So tired of this.

"As a team we have to shoulder the responsibility for not giving (the forwards) the service that would make their job a hell of a lot easier," Jonas said. "As for the individuals (in particular Marshall and Finlayson) our expectation is for them to compete and bring the ball to ground. If they kick a couple of goals, that is a bonus. It is about their work rate and how they compete and contest in the air. It is not always going to be Todd or Jeremy kicking five goals - it is up to the team to share the load."

Following the 64-point loss, Port fans took to social media to criticise Hinkley, but Koch said “every single person at the club” needed to take “shared responsibility”.
I sort of deal in the facts, our win-loss record over the last two years has been better than any other AFL club,” he said on FIVEaa.
“Here in South Australia there is an intense pressure on him (Hinkley), you talk to the AFL gurus in Victoria and they shake their head and say for the last two years you’ve got one of the winningest coaches.

Nice to at least hear that there is intense pressure on Hinkley, not just from here.

Sack Hinkley n Bassett n Koch.
the flip? Both Marshall and Finlayson couldn't even bring the ball down to ground, they couldn't get that right what the hell are they in the line up for if they're not expected to kick goals... A forward not expected to kick goals Jonas should be stripped of the captaincy after these ridiculous statements.

I hate him so much if he asked for this because of the "Adelaide environment" what a greedy piece of shit that man is.

When he's sacked, whenever that is, we're all going to be painted as the monsters that ran the poor Hinkley family out of town.

Looks to me like there will be no change, they can't even acknowledge that change is needed.

I am starting to think that this is a deliberate act by the club, to shake us die hard supporters loose that come with expectations of a premiership.

This is a business now and if they can attract 50,000 happy clappers that don't hold the boys club to any sort of accountability then they are happy, they can win 11 to 12 home games each year, make the odd finals appearances and it's all good.

Pay up happy clappers, this is as good as it's ever going to get.

I never thought the "once mighty" Port Adelaide Football club would concede to outsiders and mediocrity.

The expectation is to bring the ball to ground... What a joke.

Bringing the ball to ground is an acceptable compromise when failing to take a mark.

Every forward should be expected to mark when they get hands on the footy.

I know right they make it out like it's a type of skill that players should have...

they're gonna have no choice when the home game against melbourne has under 20k in the stands.

“Sacked is he? He’s sacked is he, Gerard?… Mate. What… clears throat, we’ve said they’ve missed opportunities, and you can’t trust’em. Well I can’t trust’em. But when he got to that football club they were on their knees!…”
