And he loves to mention the 13 game streak.. that seems to be his new line.. but but the 13 game streak.. ******* w***er
He also loved reflecting the pressure away from him stating numerous times well everyone has been losing the ones they should be winning this week " it's a whole competition thing" such a loser.

Let's say Hinkley got the 13 wins. If at the end of the season it 14-8 and only top 5, 13 wins means stuff all. Doesn't matter if ya get them in a row. It just means ya fluffed up the season. Overrated.
Agreed. Just saying you can't pick and choose which games you hold him responsible for.

They say you can't expect to win premierships like you did in the SANFL.

It’s a complete misunderstanding of our frustration and ignorance of the mountain of gilded opportunities we’ve blown to do exactly that.

Of course he had a part. His one-on-one coaching/inspo/player-whispering in the moment was a breath of fresh air compared to the usual stunned mullet soda-gargling behind a pane of glass — which also allowed Carr and Bassett more of a free hand to make tactical moves and respond to opposition strategy free of such paralysis.

But, whatever boost his sideline coaching provided was always going to decline as the novelty of having Ken on the bench wore out, and players got sick of his presence/voice — it’s all fun and games when Florent’s kick falls short or Houston’s kick falls true.

One heartbreaker bookended by a pair of pumpings and Kenny’s no longer dancing and carrying on like the life of the party to vindicate his words and messages.

Beyond that, clearly 11 seasons of whatever failings are deeply-ingrained in this club still remain.

The night games. The slow starts. The blowing of leads. The complete lack of clutch gene under pressure and in key moments.

Carr’s not an exorcist.
Fair post

Butters to all you deluded people thinking these 3 losses have in anyway changed Kochie’s mind ⬇️

Kochie sees 13 in a row and us sitting in second place. He looks at form not substance.

I think if you highlighted all those opportunities and exposed them all pointing to every year we've failed and numerous times throughout the year going back to 2014 , I think most would go "gee you're right , I forgot about that and that, yeah that's pretty shit "

Most have forgotten it seems , purely because the media didn't make a big deal of our numerous chokes at the time therefore ken escapes criticism.

Carr’s been here 5 minutes. You can’t expect him to get rid of the stink immediately and he’s also inherited a team with major deficiencies in ruck and defence. It’s going to take time to fix and it’s only fair that we give him at least a decade to work on it.
But this doesn't address anything I've said. Are you saying Carr was coaching the last few games just as he was during the 13 or not? Again... I want Hinkley gone and I'd like Carr in, but if I want to credit him with the wins and the sensible selection during the streak, I have to do the same for the last few weeks. I don't believe Carr has been "basically coaching" since round 3. We've had excellent minor round performances in 20 / 21 too and shit the bed. No difference this year to indicate Ken isn't still just as in charge as ever.

Remember that ridiculous docco they started making in 2015 thinking it was about to be some kind of dynasty under this fraud and that'd we'd all have it on tape to cherish and remember. What a anticlimax that turned out to be. Like many after that.
Ken was no different behind closed doors then as he is in the media. Where are we now.. 8 years later and we're losing the same way , we are seeing the same behaviours on field and Ken's dribbling the same shit with a different list (one of the best we've seen I might add) the whole thing is just a disappointing abortion year after year. It's got to the point where next year we should just roll the cameras and make it a mockumentary.

Nobody in the media ever asks what the deal is with our continual failure in big games. We've done bugger all player management this season, instead focussed on winning as many as possible before August. Players looking flat as a tack.

No one cares.

Apparently the great Ken Hinkley called David King himself when he gave him and his coaching a serve. King said he's not going down that road again or something to that effect.
Truly astounding - why won't people stand up to him???
