When and if Hinkley goes, I hope he takes a few of his disciples with him, Dixon, Boak, DBJ just to name a few.

Has our club over invested in everyone's mental wellbeing? Post McCarthy? That's an awful thing to say, but it just feels the club as a whole is too lenient and too supportive of football just being a job and making sure everyone has a great life outside of work, hey guys don't let the office get you down!

These are professional sportsman. Winning matters.

Watching Ted Lasso and that part where he is like, winning isn't everything, and the assistant coach is like, YES IT IS, this is a professional club with standards, this isn't the amateurs anymore, winning matters.

Feeling down about losing? Good. That's normal. This shit should mean something to you. Embrace it.

Boak’s documentary where he said he “doesn’t want to be defined as a footballer” was a red king-sized doona.

Like, I get what he means, but ‘being a footballer’ is why you’re able to do all these great things you enjoy and broaden your horizons as a person, rather than work a 9-to-5 job commuting to and from sleepy hollow.

I made the mistake of watching the Boak doco straight after finishing the Derek Jeter (New York Yankees captain) one. The difference in mentality was depressing.

Win at all costs vs as long as I'm a good human, I can sleep at night.

Great bloke but it's no surprise we never get close with this mindset at the top. Get Hinkley and co away from Butters, Rozee and JHF asap

I'm just hoping we somehow switch it all on come September like 2014 when we were heading into the finals looking terrible. That was another year where we flopped late and finished outside the top 4 when it was basically a given we'd finish top 4 a month prior.

Honestly ken has choked harder than Chocco ever did.

Half a dozen of those games in the "13" game winning streak easily could have gone the other way as well. This year we managed to win the close ones ...

Amongst them the Geelong and Melbourne wins at home were good. The rest were regulation wins. The dogs game away from home was probably our best win for the season. The rest of the competition is garbage really. Our losses and the way we've lost have been enough for me to suggest this team is nowhere near it. If they were atleast competitive losses (like the pies one) I'd be feeling ok. We are weak in the middle and our defence is so undermanned.

All they look at is " we are second on the ladder, everything is more than fine" those sort of fans have forgotten all those years ken pissed it on with this side years ago , we all remember. Happy clappers live in the now, they also don't have any idea how this game works.
