I beg to differ (unless you're saying post 96 = not senior for PAFC?)
Apparently we've taken down our h onour roll on the club site, but Duncanson was chief in 99 Australian Football - Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club - Honour Board
Nope. They've just redefined success to exclude on-field performance. Winning is over-rated, especially if you can show off artificially inflated membership numbers and claim debt reduction - the only metrics our owners seem interested in.Is Koch the least successful chairman in the history of the PAFC?

Without a doubt. At least in living memory given the years and not making a Grand Final. Is Koch the least successful chairman in the history of the PAFC?
Different Port Adelaide that.I was reading Koch and Richardson's tributes to Geof Motley, which got me to thinking how Bob McLean appointed him as coach of Port Adelaide for the 1959 season after Fos had won 5 in a row because he thought we needed a playing coach to lead by example on the field. Motley duly led Port Adelaide to their 6th flag on the trot.
Then in 1960 and 1961 Port finished minor premier both years, but was knocked out in the prelim final both years (mind you by 2 points in 1961 PF to Norwood, despite 8 more scoring shots). Big Bob removed him as coach because he wasn't successful enough and brought Fos back to Port Adelaide. Fos coached anothe 3 premierships at Port Adelaide, in 1962, 63 and 65 (and lost the 1964 grand final, which has emptied South Adelaide's tank for 60 years and counting).
Koch and Richardson, you wouldn't in a billion light years make a decision like that, the sort of brutally ruthless cornerstone the Port Adelaide Football Club is built upon. But Geof Motley understood, and despite his sacking as coach continued on a legendary Port Adelaide player, adding premierships in 1962, 63 and 65.
We failed to do that with Choco before them. Last time we did it, it was in the end of 1998.Koch and Richardson, you wouldn't in a billion light years make a decision like that, the sort of brutally ruthless cornerstone the Port Adelaide Football Club is built upon.

What a pity Koch didn’t mention the other legend Fos Williams when he gave his tribute Geoff Motley, a great PA and South Australian player. Koch is an embarrassment
Koch wouldn't mention Fos because he's an inconvenient yard stick.
When he joined us he was a buffoon with a large media profile who could generate interest and attract sponsors.
Now he's just a buffoon.
We should have taken more notice.Imagine finding out the real redeem team was Billy Frampton all along
A buffoon, who could theoretically generate interest and attract sponsors. Outside MG, at the start of his time, who has he really been responsible for? Sponsors from the China plan certainly aren't his to claim. Most of the sponsors jumped on board due to AO and a short term fitness/self-belief, before Hinkley took full control in 2015 and had us playing a shit style. Even discounting COVID, after an AO bounce to in the top 6 clubs for Memberships, we've drifted back down to the bottom half. As for sponsors, we're still in debt to around what we were in 2012. If he was actually doing the stuff he was meant to, there'd be some slack for opening his mouth about things he knows nothing about, but he hasn't delivered and doesn't deserve any. When he joined us he was a buffoon with a large media profile who could generate interest and attract sponsors.

Understatement of the year.Koch wouldn't mention Fos because he's an inconvenient yard stick.

Andrew Hunter was working on SAIC - MG’s parent corp. - for some time. The connection came via the local event manager for the Jiangwan Stadium matches in 2017, 2018 and 2019 … who actually told SAIC / MG that they should go with a bigger club like Collingwood or Essendon (with whom we were competing) … this at a time when Koch insisted on calling us things like ‘little battler club’ and ‘working class little club’ and refused to stop doing so even after directors and CEO told him to desist, more than once.He wasn't even responsible for MG, that came from the China venture. Just ask Lockhart Road
