Less is more. Never waste a note, that's the blues.Nobody could squeeze more feeling out of a single note than Greeny.... nobody
He was much better than Clapton as a blues guitarist, in my humble opinion. Drugs destroyed him, of course, as they did many of his rock contemporaries, such as Syd Barrett. Damn shame.Nobody could squeeze more feeling out of a single note than Greeny.... nobody

Completely agree. His sound was so pure. He's possibly my favourite blues guitarist. Out of the ones that play in that style anyway. At his peak he was untouchable imo.
One that I am dying to see live
Was just going to say that. He puts absolutely everything into his performances. I love the guy, you're very lucky. Can't wait until he's back in Aus.Not sure if I've mentioned I saw him at Byron Bluesfest. Unbelievable gig. I was right up the front. Bloody loud. Gary was so into it. He really gets into it and gives it everything.
They play some really good music on magic.Been listening to Magic 1278 thanks to a recommendation from BigPowerForward a couple of years ago. Switched me from Gold where they were playing straight junk and too many ads. Ripper of a station!

This track popped up in my Youtube feed yesterday and now I can't get it out of my head!
