I'm here to keep away from my family. Na, it's actually been pretty good, this week particularly was nearly a normal week as far as sales for this time of year, I was going home and making appointments but was here all day today. My hand is nearly better so no pain, footy on it's way back and money coming in. I'm actually pumped now. Can't wait for normal again.

yeah pledged in honour of mum donated some money as well

I'm happy to have pledged, and tipped in a bit extra for luck.

I'd never considered pulling my membership - I largely consider it a donation to our club's success anyway - but I think this initiative will bring the club together a bit, really rally the troops as we build towards footy returning. I really cant wait until crowds are allowed back, it's a long way off but it's going to be huge once it happens.

Remember guys to tune in at 7pm Vic time on Facebook for Nick Riewoldt, Lenny Hayes, Jarryn Geary and Eric Bana.

I am hopeful of some big donations in the next few hours.

As always...GO SAINTS!

Im guessing they're going to announce the updated tally.

I've just made a donation. I'm happy to help out the club. Just a thought but if 30000 members could go without a latte for one day and donated the $4.00 to the club we would raise $120000.00. If those members gave $4.00 a week for one year, we could raise over $6 million dollars. I know not everyone can afford it but small donations by a lot of members can go a long way.

Is that figure just the donations over and above "pledging" not to ask for a membership refund?
Not asking for a refund/pledging your membership is included in that total.

So technically a lot of that $38.000 is actually already in the Clubs bank account. Still good though.
Is it possible to get a donation total?
I know what you mean but people would still have to pledge it.

I think an update is coming tonight.

This is a great initiative by the Club that looks like it will run for the rest of 2020 and through to 2021. Hopefully it will reduce the amount of debt we need to take on during this time and perhaps even eat into our current debt figure but we won't know where we stand until the dust settles on the 2021 season. I think including the value of memberships in the total is a bit of a w*nk but let's see how it pans out. Any amount raised is better than nothing.

Hey, it's $38,000 the club wouldn't have had had they not sent the call out. This club means a lot to many people. It will show.

Theres every chance they still would have it, just not the confirmation, which is what Im thinking this campaign is about. Its confirmation to the Club that amount stays in the bank

This is what a few of us a trying to get up in the other thread, ideas likes this are worth talking about and are achievable imo

Fair enough. I don't want to downplay the amount, we need as many to get behind it as we can, it creates good momentum for others to chip in.

I'm not sure I understand, I already bought a membership, and I don't want or need a refund nor did I ask for one.
So what am I pledging? They already have the money.

Also I'd pay 2021 membership now if that was an option...
If you pledge your membership you can still fill out the form without having to donate. I'm not sure what is happening on refunds but maybe if you don't pledge your membership the club will issue out the refund process later on. I'm not entirely sure but if it doesn't cost you anything I'd pledge it anyway.

George I assume the membership dept is still running at the club?

I pay for both my and my son’s membership (what we do for our kids) although he lives in Perth now.
The club has his email details but I notice the email that came to me today actually has his membership number at the bottom.

I’m happy to pledge both our memberships and probably some extra, but he can make any extra donation himself - gotta draw the line somewhere 🤣

You are pledging to continue for your membership this year - that you are not going to ask for a refund, so they can count on your membership money this year.
Over and above that, you may elect to add an extra amount as a donation and/ or buy a commemorative T Shirt.

It's on the email as well. Right at the bottom it will have "this email has been sent to member ID xxxxxx

Damn, I found it on an older one so did that arse about.
