Please take the time and welcome SPS to our football club.

Hopefully you realise your potential and have a long fruitful career in the Wings.

Happy to have him on the list. Needs to work on his two way running and his endurance significantly all whilst retaining at least the size he is if not 1-2 kg's heavier. He is a midfielder so people need to remove the old adage of indigenous players, speed, tricks etc. as he's not that guy. He got drafted at 6 due to being an inside mid with clean hands and good footskills.

He had speed and endurance but he's had hamstring issues for 2 seasons and lost conditioning, it seems he also lost his edge and attitude towards professionalism struggled a bit. Hopefully a fresh start kicks him off again. He really is extremely talented. Hopefully he reaches that potential for you guys, too nice a guy not to root for.

I’m shattered to lose SPS, if you are curious what he is capable of go watch round 5 2019 vs the dogs, that was the best game he’s played for us. Hopefully he can realise his potential out west.

Looked it up and you are very correct.

Impressive game from him here playing as an inside mid

You have done well with this deal. SPS is a gifted talent, that wasn't suited to Teague's gameplan and playing HB.

I have no doubt at all that he will recapture his 2018 form, when he was playing as a mid/forward. After that, it really will come down to how hard he continues to push himself, to go to another level

Hope he carves it up

Oof. Not exactly glowing endorsements on the guy. We have a few of these issues with other players at the club already.

Still, he only cost a pick in the 50s, so if he doesnt work out then we lost nothing. Happy to be proven wrong in the future.

His highlights from 2020. Seems like he has a decent kick at AFL level.

Ive only watched the first 2 and a half minutes of this highlight package because im at work but, besides a nice pack mark, most of this is pretty stock-standard for an AFL player. Concerning that a lot of his passes to teammates are floaty kicks into the corridor or F50.

Are there any particularly good highlights that you can timestamp?

Was my favourite player at the club and before Teague and his hamstring issues I thought he'd be the midfield General. An elusive Sam Mitchell type - sees the game really well and doesn't waste possessions.

Wheels came off a bit under Teague but they did for most of our young guys under Teague.

He's not afraid of a tackle and is reasonably strong for his size. Hopefully it works out!

Those descriptions could have described views on Flyin and Willie. Here's hoping!
