I'm saying they judged him incorrectly on 2nd hand info, they got him a job in a bank and he quit after one day and after that he was called lazy and undiciplined.
He's fitted into AFL as well as any other recruit. To answer yr question he was stereotyped imo.

walsh should get it though, we have a young team, being beaten all over the field, of course he will be giving up some of his touches when his targets are being beaten.
just quietly though that group he's in will almost all be in brownlow contention. so where's stack?

Would have been a wasted pick at any club without a strong culture. Remembering that Richmond overlooked him 7 times (4 X N/D + 3 X rookie) fair play to them for finally selecting him. Suspect that Tiger supporters are so happy about their draft "steal" that they may be slightly going overboard, particularly as this thread is not about him.

WTF is with certain posters on Bigfooty and trying to downplay Walsh’s ability?
He’s playing all his footy in the midfield because he’s already right at home and plays like someone who has been around for ages. Other than sides like GWS and the Pies who have serious midfield talent he’d play in the middle for every other team I reckon.
Only on Bigfooty as well is it a crime to be amazingly fit and have a great knack for finding the footy. That just mean he’s the next Tom Scully because they’re both fit! What a comparison.
Only footy fans could somehow watch a kid be a magnet from day one and then downplay his ability or put low ceilings on where his footy could end up.
Walsh isn’t some fitness freak finding some cheap footy in a shit side. He finds contested ball at a rate much better than many guns did in their early years. He weaves in and out of stoppages and he puts his body on the line. Watch his games for ****s sake.
If you want to fap over Champion Data OP, they believe he can one day be as good as Tom Mitchell at finding the footy. The dude that just won the Brownlow.
