That’s incredible. I remember them losing by 150 points each week only a few years after that
Yep they really bottomed out a few years later, won a hat trick of wooden spoons in the early 90s

Might have been already asked given it was mentioned on that obscure afl facts fb page, but we've had a strange number of Chads on our list compared to the rest of the comp. Name all our Chads.

Ok here’s one where I’m not 100% sure of the answer yet so I’ll have to double-check, but I’ll ask it anyway:

Who has played the most games for the Eagles without any finals appearances?

This is a good one!

Mmm thinking a player from the 08-2010 era.

Tom Swift?

Would have said Nelson but think he played one final last year?

And here's one I don't know the answer to, but presumably someone could find it.

Highest drafted player in the national draft (had to be drafted by West Coast), never to debut for west coast (can't currently be on the list, has to be delisted/traded).

As a blind guess, did Ebert ever play a final for us?

We were woeful across most of the time he played, & i have it in my head part of the reason he left was that we dropped him for a final.

Ah played the 2011 qualifying final but dropped for the semi. Scratch him off the list.

If anyone was drafted higher than Brandon Hill’s pick 10, I can’t think of them.

I don’t think he technically fits your criteria, but Peter Mann was a pre-draft selection in 1989 (along with Turnbull) but declined to join the squad and stayed with Claremont for the 1990 season. Then at the end of the year we traded him to North.

What about someone from the inaugural squad? Someone who played from 1987-1990 but missed the 1988 elimination final and wasn't picked for the 1990 finals series? Adrian Barich maybe? Did he play finals? Laurie Keene?

You’re on the right track but both those guys played finals. Also, this guy played more games than either of them.
