I guess next year will be very telling?

I'm thinking we will finish between 6th and 12th

top 4 - no chance.

Next year will be the acid test. I'm 'unsure' until then. Between 6th and 12th sounds about right.

Always takes some time for everything to come out in these sorts of situations. The one positive hard fact I'm taking from it is the club is willing to make tough calls to improve. I think the men that make these calls are competent but time will tell.

It's going to take the new coach a few years to build the program to the point of success.

If we add 2 or 3 quality younger this off season and then next year - by 2016 or 2017 would should be a contender.

That's adding 10 to 12 good quality players to our list and we are back on track but next year - we are not a premiership side with a new coach.

The past players group..... hilarious.

That ****ing clique is part the whole problem.

Anybody hear what Rod Jameson had to say about it?

Sando's an old mate of all those guys. The more I think about how infected our club has been and the cliquey gravy train that has taken precedence over peformance for so many years, the more I realize Sanderson was part of the problem.

Bone is being unbearable this morning and has a supportive dropkick in David Wildy. Just turned off.. heading out to enjoy some sunshine...

Ditto. McDermott's doing it for the ratings but doesn't realise how many are switching off. I switched off after a few minutes of rot. He was once an AFC captain therefore knows everything about the club now. Chris, it's approaching 20 years now. You just don't know what's going on inside the AFC, and your assessment of everything the AFC does is tainted.

So past players are not allowed to have a vested interest in how the is ran or persevered?

Only supporters are awarded this privileges?

My theory is that overachieving in 2012 was what started the unravelling of Sando's tenure.

We got ahead of ourselves and forgot that we were still in the middle of a rebuild. Player development became less of a priority, as we thought we were good enough (just a tad unlucky).

Even this year, we thought we would waltz back into our rightful place the finals, with Tex, Betts and Pods.

Pete, nearly every club is like that.

Agree fully.

Hopefully the board is not seduced by those same perceptions and continues the rebuild.

Going by the sacking i think the club believes development is the answer whilst Sando still didn't think we were far away.

FWIW i think we will make finals next year, and as long as we do it whilst developing the likes of MCrouch, Grigg, Knight etc then thats the right way.

Even Rucci making sense compared to the Victorian journos he's speaking to.

The story over there is we have a group of lazy players with too much power who didn't like the challenges set by great guy Sanderson.

Bullshit.

They are trying as you pointed out to create disharmony about our Club.
