Throwing dirt in her face, that’s f’ed up.

Potentially damage her eyesight and her medical career for the sake of a stupid tv show.

The SAS *******s need to realise that some of these people have real careers.
That was so bad! I was surprised they suggested to throw dirt in her eyes.

As someone with cornea damage that wakes with burning eye pain every few days, it’s just a stupid ******* thing to do for the sake of a tv show.

These SAS blokes really do get reduced to animals.
Very risky and dangerous move. Jana wasn't impressed

They've just announced the cast for SAS Australia (Celebrity) 2022. Far from being a cast from "Who's Who", it's cast from "Who the **** is that?".

Going through that list...

I'm familiar with the following: Boyd (NRL), Carey (AFL), Hall (AFL, Boxing), Crehan (I remember thinking how hot she was on the V8 Supercars coverage last year), Wu (Olympics diving), Heugil (Olympics swimming), Tkautz (read my lips), Fenech (bad SBS comedies).

I have heard of the following, but don't know much about them: Holtznagel

Who the **** are these people? Boyle, Bridges, Buttrose (apparently he's Ita's son - but he himself has 0 celebrity status), Gilbert, Green, Heinrich, Pledger, Zerafa.

While I remember Crehan from the 2020 V8 Supercars coverage, I wouldn't in any way rate her as a celebrity. Has Melissa Tkautz done anything at all, since leaving Neighbours and becoming a one-hit-wonder with "Read My Lips", back in the late 1980s? I don't think I've heard of her in 30 years.

It looks to me as if they spent the entire budget on Michael Clarke, who was reported to have been offered $750K, leaving no money in the kitty for any other real celebrities. Then Clarke injured his back, while training for the show... Oops! This list would not be out of place on "Dancing with the Who the **** Are These People?".
Barry Hall to bring up how he ruined his media career through a couple of dumb seconds on Triple M.

Abbey Cornish is soft as butter. Sore leg my ass. Was walking fine. Wasn’t limping when she walked off with her heavy back pack. Weak as piss.

Reckon Bra Boy left as well because he didn’t want to work with Jett on that task. They both hated each other. He was guaranteed $100K anyway.

Brutal ep with three VWs.

- Jett the biggest surprise. Felt like he had a lot still left in him.
- Jess fair enough. Overperformed and can hold her head high.
- Heater. Can understand but reckon it's one of those days where you just need to sleep it off and can go again with a fresh head in the morning.

Last five is an interesting mix. Reckon Sam, John and Jana might complete. Scud has done well but might have a VW in him. No idea about Dan, has been strong but might get rejected at the end like Magnussen last season.

Isabelle (Abbie is her sister) and she posted on her insta she actually fractured her hip which was diagnosed after she got home.

Probably the toughest person on there IMO.

Jetts food issue seemed like a pretty big one, Ironmen/Women do insane calorie numbers for their training and to go from that to rations you couldnt eat would be brutal.

Completely agree on Heater, had his moment and never got out of his own head about it.

End of the day- you dont know ppls pain thresholds, you dont know what they are feeling (physical or otherwise), "weak as piss" is a pretty ridiculous call in terms of a show like this.*

Sidenote. Tom Lonergan's clash didnt the commentator say he was weak? Next minute- getting his kidney removed and in an induced coma.

*yes I realise ive probs done it myself itt.

Who the hell is Heater?

Thoughts...
  • Of the remaining 5 recruits, Sam, Mark & Dan have all been called in for 2x confessionals each. Jana & John haven't had any. Is there anything to be read into that? Is it simply a case of their sob stories being judged too boring for inclusion in the broadcasts? We're 10 episodes in, and last night's episode had no confessionals, so it's quite possible we won't get any confessionals from this pair.
  • Of the remaining 5, I can still only see Jana & Sam completing. Mark's "lack of drive" will see him fail, either as a VW or not selected. Ewing's creepiness & anger management issues, which are always bubbling away just beneath the surface, will see him rejected. John is a grey man, who hasn't done a lot wrong, certainly not enough to draw the attention of the DS, but nor has he really impressed. He's the hardest one to get a bead on.
  • While the log carry is all about "grit", the only "grit" shown in the "Last Man Standing" exercise was that thrown in the faces of Ewing & Jana. Few challenges have been so heavily influenced by the DS, with one telling his side to play dirty, while the other told his to wait & react to what the other side did. There was SFA "grit" involved in these contests.

Honestly when she left i thought she looked okay too. I actually thought it was pretty poor form from the show to not show the injury (or send her for assesment).

If anything the fact she walked out looking okay with a fractured hip would imply her pain threshold must be insane.
... which leads me to wonder about the competence of the doctor, who said she was fit to continue - despite her having a broken leg!

Agree with all of this but i think Jana has had a confessional? Could be wrong but i thought it was early on.
