After the month from hell I feel the mood needs some lightening....something to take our minds off the shitestorm some explayer has caused us...and still is.

Now your reminiscing can be in the form of clips or pictures, funny anecdotes, limericks, stories or a favourite thread that you'll look back in years to come and go...remember when that thread went for over 18,000 posts in less than a month...ah the good old days...I doesn't have to be new it can be stuff from the start of the year or got buried in a thread.

So to Stabby, Vader, Allefgib, Carl, Pyro, Jenny, STO, AFGM, AIOF, BACCS, James, Karma, Hdecure, Siffy, Wood Duck, Cap, Relapse, WW and everyone else who has made the 2012 a laugh and to all the new and returned posters in the last couple of months. Share something that has made coming to BF a part of your life.

I'm going to start us off with one of my faves...I still watch it now and again for a giggle...some of the best work Fitzy ever did for the AFC...May 12 on BTG..:D

Fitzy. Pure gold :thumbsu:

My favourite game from the season? The Sydney win was special. A close game, away from home against a hard at it team and we came home with the biscuits. Gave the group some belief that we could really do it under Sando

Favourite player. A tie between Dangerfield and Walker. Great to see Tex living up to his potential and watching Dangerfield is just a pleasure. Its exciting that they're on our team

Some of Danger's goals this year were freakish

Sometimes I torture myself and watch the PF highlights. The umpiring blunders still piss me off, but I still get the tingles when Johncock kicked that goal to put us in front with 5 minutes to go. The roar of the crowd, the shock of the commentators.... damn if only we got over the line in that one!

I've been a Crows fan all my life (not that long - 23 years), but I can't remember a time when I've ever been so proud to be a Crows fan. Current scandal aside, we have an exciting mix of players who play an awesome brand of Footy. Can't ask for much more than that!

It was a season with many highlights for a change, my particular faves noted below.

Sydney away game was a definite highlight viewed on Foxtel.

Being at the Freo game in WA was fantastic to come away with a win, made the long flight home very enjoyable. Not so good was going to Etihad for the Roos game though.

Also went to the prelim, which was an amazing game, glad I was there as they did us proud. We received many positive comments from Melburnians after the game, many were cheering us on & Hawks supporters even gave us kudos!!! Many comments were made re the umpiring on the night.

There have been memorable highlights within games & a couple in particular we're D-Mac's & Sloaney's goals, the form of Talia, Tex, Sloaney, Danger & Sauce. Sando's coaching to set us up with a style that wins "Finals" that will stand us in good stead next year.

I have been a long time reader so reading Big Footy has been very interesting this year and I have managed to read nearly every comment on the "largest thread I have ever seen" , that in itself has consumed much of my time the last few weeks, just lucky I have been on annual leave. ;) I have wasted a lot of time!!! Now we wait for the verdict & see where it takes us in the future!! That will waste a lot more of my time I am sure.

I will continue to support the team & the coaching staff but maybe not the Admin so much & look forward to 2013.

Cheers everyone.

Nice Pyro!:thumbsu: You can keep putting those out. Less than 100 days til it starts again. At the end of the year going to try and do some highlights packages myself when got some time free. You look back and there plenty of great moments.
Another highlight has been Leeroy's start to his career at the Crows!

My favourite moment is still Bruce McAvaney's commentary when Jenkins kicks the snap goal in the pocket against Carlton at Etihad, when Brucey he sounds like he's overcome with emotion "Ohhh Tim Ohhh ...Gee". Only to be outdone by the running bounce with alternate hands and goal from 50m on the run a few minutes later.

Sloane on fire in Perth vs Fremantle, and some incredible long goals

Dangerfield's leadership and ability to be the gamechanger against Fremantle X 2, Hawthorn, RIchmond.

Walker's goals on halftime in the Semi Final and Prelim Final, and Richo's commentary on Walker everytime he went near it. I think he sees a bit of himself in Wlker.

The season had several highlights...

-Smashing Geelong at home
-Smashing Carlton in Melbourne
-Beating Sydney in a nailbiter at the SCG
-Beating Port twice (no great triumph really)
-Beating Fremantle 3 times and knocking them out (see above)
-Come from behind wins. Dont remember the exact games but this was nearly unheard of in recent years.

Also mad props to Walker (most improved imo), Dangerfield, Thompson, Jacobs, Sloane....and well shit even Reilly.

I thought his first half of the season was pretty shaky. His role was very different this year. He really put it together towards the end. His form in the finals was excellent. :thumbsu:

Agreed which is why I said decent not great/very good. He was clearly struggling with confidence issues then started to regain that confidence and find some form when he got injured again. It was at this point that people were saying to drop him when it was obvious he needed to regain that confidence again after a shock. I thought it was ridiculous people were saying to drop him as IMO, I said this when people were calling for him to be dropped, he is a very important player and would be vital in our finals which he proved. Anyway I just thought he did almost all we could have asked from him and it was good he didn't have any major injuries meaning he will go into next year with more confidence which will be a "highlight/massive bonus" for the club

Going to sound stupid but my highlight of the year is the PF.
Showed we actually have the desire and tools to be a real contender in september.

Edit: And the first time i truely believed we could win the premiership.

I also wanted to list the pre-lim. The Crows played so well that day. They were hard at it, they hit their targets and they just kept fighting even though they had significantly less recovery time than Hawthorn. I really felt we we're robbed by the umpires but I didn't walk away from the game feeling shattered or anything. I just felt really proud.
