They actually found him guilty mate. But some dodgy dealings or something has gone on, because he has recieved 3 weeks suspended sentence. What a joke the NFL is. Hes either guilty or not, when have u heard of a suspended sentence? Smells very funny
Lmfao. Yep Monty must have bribed them. Bloody Dustin Martin got a suspended fine yesterday. Seems
Like a spot on punishment to me. Didn't deserve weeks especially before a grand final so it's a harsh warning really and I'm sure he learnt his lesson.

Well done to the tribunal for finding a fair punishment.

Enough oxygen and column inches wasted on this - apparently there's a Prelim Final on Sunday.
Bulls depth to be tested with reported injuries, Cougars appear to be at full strength apart from Chewy.
Lets hope the wind and rain stay away and the ground is a little softer than the last few weeks.
Showtime.

NP are also missing there ruckman wooton.

Joe Woonton must be scratching his head over this decision , with an unblemished record he cops 4 weeks and Moorcroft wasn't even hurt and now they come up with this suspended sentence rubbish.

So offered 2 weeks. Then decided to go before the mrp. Found guilty and given 3 weeks. Then had the 3 weeks suspended. He can consider himself one lucky player. Most leagues increase their penalties during finals because they rightly assume players dont care about missing games next year. Hope they are consistant with this. Could make for a couple of interesting couple of weeks.

Whether it is before a grand final or not shouldn't come into consideration. Each case should be judged on its merits, whether it be round 1, round 10 or a final.

Personally, I don't think he should be suspended for the incident.

but what is the comparison numb nuts? u have to look at both incidents - Woonton should have coped weeks and he did. good. Jackson no way it was worthy of suspension even suspended is a total joke. i hear the NFL have appointed an investigator to look into the Cloke incident. What gets said on BF is ready far too literally by those at NFL house!!

Jackson getting off is an absolute joke, Woonton and Northcote Park will be reeling with that decision!
Jackson is getting quite the reputation as a lagger first lags stinger, then lags Scanlon.

The competition is losing the plot with inconsistent mrp decisions, poor quality umpires it will be very interesting to see how many quality players
leave the league at years end due to having no faith in the comp.

After speaking with a number of ex afl players currently in the comp it doesn't sound like any are staying on for next season so it looks like the comp is going back to the old days where good quality players will avoid the competition, disappointing but the league only have them selves to blame.

Should make for an interesting finals series!!!!

Lol. Suck it up.

As for your disappearing afl players I assume you have been down to Heidelberg? Most of there old players are done at
This level and they should be moved on.

I agree MRP is inconsistent, after all how do you explain other Bundoora players not being cited from last weeks game?

However the MRP system and the way it is implemented should be encouraged as we dont want to go down the old DVFL days of thumping and sniping that was covered up as "hard football"

As for the comment re ex AFL players, gimme a break. They want to go to leagues where they know that the league will stick up for them and help prevent the small man syndrome some players seem to adopt against them. These players want to play out their careers injury free, (taking a handsome fee as well!), but they want to give back without having to worry if their jaw is going to be broken just because of who they once were. The more the league can adopt a MRP that is fair and consistent then this will help sway quality players into the comp.

Did you mean other bundoora and mont players or are you that one eyed. Who are these bundoora players you say should have been reported.

heck. Even the Politicians talked less Sh1t in the lead up to the Federal election than you blokes have dribbled in recent days on B.F.

With standards having been lowered to below that of a Dwarfs burning ass, I might make a comeback to regular dribble contributions.

Don't make me do it!

Any words on who is coaching the panth next year? Also president?

Here are some facts for you:
1. If you are caught tripping you receive an automatic 2 week suspension
2. when reported you are offered a 2 week automatic suspension, if you contest this and plead NOT GUILTY and are found guilty you will receive extra weeks suspension depending on the severity of the incident. the 2 week can be reduced if you plead guilty to a lesser charge as well.

1. Woonton was offered 2 weeks, pleaded not guilty.... found guilty given an extra 2 weeks total 4 weeks
2. Jackson was offered 2 weeks, pleaded not guilty... found guilty given a suspended sentence
was there a rule change in between the period Woonton and Jacksons events???? can someone enlighten me

1. Nanya was yellow carded against Bundoora for tripping....... shouldn't this have been a two week penalty?

Two things that we have learnt this week
1. Northcote Park have been shafted by the league and there inconsistency
2. There are two sets of rules in the comp one for Montmorency and one for the rest of the league

NFL quickly becoming a joke

Call the wambulance

Ring the league if you have a problem. Maybe its time to give up on footy and watch the Friday night net ball if you think Jackson deserved weeks for a hip and shoulder.

And the nfl favoring mont. Lol
