Great idea guys, not like we have the TFULA tiger medal or anything.

The award handed out by the Admin on a whim?

I can see how you would get that confused with this

As a new poster to the league. Is there anyone who has the grandslam? Ie mobbs, eka, alf etc...

Interested to hear who has the longest list of accolades.

Tarkyn_24 would be up there.

No one has won everything though. Wacky Tiger is just missing an alf

Do a search for Karnezis_13 first Top 50 Qootyers thread he did a few seasons back.

This will be a weekly nomination from the list of 60 rookies who have played less than 5 games before the start of SFA S23.
The weekly nominee will be decided on a combination of playing stats and posting stats, commonly called an "algorithm" by people with no idea of what an algorithm actually is. I'd love to claim that the esteemed panel listed above has discussed the weekly nominee in detail, and come to a consensus opinion, but...have you ever tried to get to get 8 people on here to agree about anything?
Anyway, Rules are that any player can only be nominated once, and at the end of the home and away round, the esteemed panel with decide which of the nominees will take home the (un-named) Media Rookie award

So, in SFA S23 round 1, there was some fantastic debut performances. Elton Johns Wig contributed 73 posts in an impressive showing for the Hawks, but only scored 53 DT points; comewhatmay leapt right into her debut game for the Warriors with 62 posts and JackNah_8, Avatarp and MaxMinch all made strong posting debuts. On the playing side of the ledger, Stiubhart scored 104 DT points to make TOTW on debut, and Tony Lynn 15 racked up the possessions for 110 DT points to go along with his 53 posts. But there was one standout performance in week 1.

The Round one nomination for the Nab SFA Rising Star award is Baghdad Bombers mature aged recruit TheCoach16
166323.jpg
Recruited to be a calming influence on the Baby Bombers and to impart his words of wisdom to inspire his team, TheCoach16 racked up the numbers onfield to lead Baghdad to a stirring opening win over the Swamprats with 13 kicks, 12 marks and 19 handballs to amass 124 DT points. His Exie score was even more impressive, with a league-high 154 points, and to top it off he cruised into TOTW on debut.
But his presence was felt even more stridently in the thread as he hit 'post reply" 120 times on debut, without resorting to spam or waffle. The highlight was the pre-game address to his team:
Bombers pre game...

I'd like to talk to you about Choices, Gentlemen...

Let me tell you a story... About three years ago, I filled in for the twos when they were really short on numbers. I played seven games that season...
When I say "played", I mean I put on the jumper and ran out on to the ground. That's pretty much where it ended. Each week, my opponents took marks, kicked goals, ran around me, made me look stupid. Made me look ordinary...
And each week I tried harder and harder and harder. I didn't want to let down my team mates, I didn't want to embarrass myself or the club that I love, and I didn't want to be ordinary...

Unfortunately for me, I was a fat, old, broken down, over-the-hill, hack. I had no choice. It didn't matter what I did, It didn't matter how hard I tried. My best, my optimum output was always going to be ordinary. I had no choice...No choice.

But you do !
I look around this room and I see talent. I see courage, I see quality, I see strength. Unlike me, you boys have a choice ! You can choose to be ordinary or you can choose to be extraordinary . It's up to you, it's in your hands, you have a say. You have the choice I didn't...

So when you go out there today, choose !
Make the choice to give, "each, to the best of their own ability".....
Each, to the best of their own ability. What does that mean?

It means from the first bounce to the final siren, contest by contest, every minute of every quarter, give what you have to give for this team, for your mates, for yourself. If that means you kick eight, then terrific. If it means getting a fingernail on the footy when the team needs you to, even better. Whatever it is that you bring, whatever your abilities are, whatever level you play at, bring it today. And bring it for EVERY minute of EVERY quarter. START TO FINISH!

And when your body...and logic...and pain... tell you that you have nothing left to give. Remember your choice and find something! Dig deep and STAY TRUE TO THE CHOICE YOU MADE!
That's how you give to the best of your ability. That's how You show your opposition what courage is, what will is. Each and every one of you! Show your opponent that where they end, is where you're just getting started...

So When that ball is bounced today, each of you has a decision to make.
You have a choice.....
A choice I never had....

What will you choose, gentlemen ? What.... will... you.... choose???

So congratulations to TheCoach16. When asked for a comment, he reverted to his inner Brendon Bolton:
Wow! This place has everything!

I'd like to acknowledge my team mates. I wouldn't be here if not for you guys...

To our fans, thanks for hanging in there.

The academy....

Seriously, this place has everything! I love it here !

This place really does have everything!

You guys are too much, thank you...

A month ago, I hadn't even heard of the SFA. Then a couple of the best blokes you'll ever want to meet, KohPhi and Tony Lynn 15 invited me to join the Bombers.
I had become a little disillusioned with my team board and thought "why not?"....

A month later, this ! And I'm having the best time with my new team mates and exchanging clever, witty banter with the opposition. I've even managed to laugh on occasion, which is quite an accomplishment as I'm normally a grumpy, joyless old man. So thanks for that too.

The pre game speeches were KohPhi's idea, given my background. Encouraged by Tony Lynn 15 , my captain Harolad and my other fantastic team mates, it will be a regular occurrence....

Anyway, thank you all again. I'm honoured and humbled, not just by the nomination, but by the endless kind words spoken about me everywhere I look. Thank you, and may the season be a great one....

Coach.

Na i won all my awards after that season ;)

Or if Karnezis_13 could just finish off his current one that would be super

I feel any awards won after that thread have an asterisk next to them*

*Except mine
