Lol. I checked out that article, the author isn’t talking about airborne time. He’s talking about all the planning, briefing, through to execution/debrief time of a normal mission. That’s fairly accurate for normal training/exercise operations back home.
I was referring to 8-10 hours airborne over there (so 15+ with briefing etc. either side). It was 2 hours from the UAE just to get up the gulf and up to Central/Northern Iraq. So 4 hours just of transit time each mission, bracketing the on station time.

Same here. Got baked with the missus while watching both Independance Day movies (let me tell you.. the sequel does not stack up well being played directly after the first one, and it aint great on its own) and then literally dropped into bed.
