The post-game show was actually talking about it. It is supposed to be a tribute for Tarciso, the Black Arrow:



Tarciso was Grêmio’s center-forward in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was a fan favorite. His arrival coincided with the club regaining hegemony over Internacional after almost a decade. No one has played more games for Grêmio (721). He is the third player with most goals scored for the club.

He died in 2018 from cancer.

Tarciso was Grêmio’s center-forward in the late 70’s and early 80’s. He was a fan favorite. His arrival coincided with the club regaining hegemony over Internacional after almost a decade. No one has played more games for Grêmio (721). He is the third player with most goals scored for the club.

Reminds me of this great doco I saw the other day about a club legend from the Swedish league. Awesome story. Even better celebration.
