I've seen this game many a time. We need to win to keep some hopes of a finals berth alive, but we face a winless team.

Even more concerning is this Gumbies team is 0-4, following a 0-2 finals record last season. The chances of a 7th straight loss for the Gumbies is miniscule.

It must be strange for you Direwolves to be in the midst of this poor run of results, especially after closing out the S31 H&A season without a loss in your last 9 games!

There’s actually a beautiful symmetry to 7 losses in a row following 7 (?or was it 8?) wins in a row

I also predicted #straight sets Gumbies last season before it happened

The consolation prize for the Gumbies is that the counterprediction of #straightsetsroyals also happened

Thats good, not bad, an Instagram ad got the better of me which is a Japanese box of snacks etc. I've been targeted hard by these boxes and my willpower is basically non existent.

I could definitely do with a sugar hit right now.
It would go well with an unusual Kit Kat flavour

I’m trying to imagine what that would taste like but I’m sure it would be more exciting than my healthy fruit salad

And yeah pretty much. With each loss my care factor progressively decreased (and I’m the type to brood all week after a loss).

Would you go to the GF as a neutral if we ended up hosting it ?

Heard we might get a semi or prelim final too - would try for those too. Sort of hope my company still gets its corporate box and I weasel myself a ticket that way.

And yeah likewise . I’ve only been to one GF ever - 2018. Going to a home neutral one would be a lot cheaper and also a lot less stressful but I imagine competing club members would get first dibs .

Getting a corporate box seat through work would be amazing too .

I am working during weeks 2-3 of finals but GF Saturday (assuming they don’t change the date after the pre finals bye was scrapped ) looks free

I found a snack swap group on FB. I had to leave it as I really didn't need all those super sugary goodies coming from all over the world. My willpower fails when I have unhealthy sugary crap in the house.

So what is everyone doing to keep themselves amused during lockdown besides BF?? I've dug up some old books and now re-reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. The books with real pages and paper! No Kindle here.
