I did uni with virtually no internet! it existed, but not like you think of it.

I did a whole course on how to use Alta Vista to search for stuff. commands like <if> <contains> and all sorts of stuff.

Im very happy that Google learned to read mind so it could sell me stuff with the by product knowing what I was actually looking for.

None of the reading materials were on line, you had to go to the library and photo copy relevant papers and hope to god you could find a relevant book to check out. Text books were literally over a weeks work for most people.

The internet has come so far in such a short period of time, it is astonishing.
