Connect your Four
A friendly game of connect four has begun between the Fighting Furies and the West Coast Wonders. It will be an interesting intellectual battle that will see James Colorado, Pickitt, damicky, and Frothies Mcveigh guide their pieces into combinations of four to be victors come Sunday.
Fighting Furies vs West Coast Wonders
The Season So Far
The Fighting Furies had last week off and finished the fourth round outside the top eight in tenth position with just a singular win while the West Coast Wonders are sitting just one place above them having only beaten the Demons in the opening round.
Shueygod has been the highlight for the Furies with ShaunDuggan being prominent and accurate in the forward line. Brenton Davy has collected the most dream team points to open the season for the Wonders and is just one below on the goal-kicking tally after Frothies Mcveigh.
Last Week
The Fighting Furies had the week off while the West Coast Wonders went head to head with the Dragons and after starting off slowly began to make the margin smaller until it was just a seven-point victory…. For the Dragons. Accuracy was an issue for the Wonders and will need to be improved this week. Even though they kicked three behinds, Brenton Davy was the best Wonder.
Dragons FFC (12.5 77) defeated West Coast Wonders (9.16 70)
Around the Grounds
East Side Phoenix vs Ophidian Old Boys FFC at The Eyrie
Roys FFC vs Coney Island Warriors at Brunswick Junction Oval
Las Vegas Bears vs Gumbies FFC at The Stadium in the Sky
Gold City Royals vs Dragons FFC at The Golden Throne
Sin City Swamprats vs Mount Buller Demons at Underground Stadium
The Baghdad Bombers receive a well-deserved break.
Last Time
The last time the Fighting Furies and the West Coast Wonders went head to head was during the sixth week of season 34. That time it was the Wonders who were the home team and used that advantage to the most as they gave out a 52-point punch down with Frothies Mcveigh kicking four goals and damicky receiving the three votes but the Furies weren’t without fantastic efforts from tugga (4 goals) and Dominic03 (1 vote).
Season 34, Round 6: The West Coast Wonders (17.12 114) defeated the Fighting Furies (10.2 62)
