How long did it take you to put that together?
Being a club with a history of working with explosives, it’s absolutely essential to ensure the safety of our players at the end of the working day
As a team we are each compelled to provide a safe workplace for each other and to follow the relevant procedures assiduously
Where possible devices are diffused remotely by robots to keep the hazards at a distance
Specially trained dogs also help minimise the risks to humans
But ultimately human error is the hardest factor to completely ameliorate …
… and despite the best training, the easiest one to blame
Distraction from your responsibilities can be fatal
And the hidden dangers lurk just below the surface
The damage caused depends on the power of the explosive
And the access to fuel in the environment
