Otters are awesome

My first encounter with one was at the Vancouver aquarium and they're so much fun to watch. While you can't actually pat them, they do have sea otter pelt that you can touch and it's the softest thing out


Otters somehow entered a match thread discussion last SFA season and it's stuck since then - it also helps that they're very very cute

Speaking of cooking, I have been cleaning out the pantry and freezer so been making things to assist that process. Stumbled upon something brilliant last week.

Cook basmati rice in slightly diluted veg stock (I'm sure it would work with many other rice types).
Meanwhile steam/microwave some peas and corn.
When rice 99.5% done turn heat off and add vegies, copious pepper, some garlic powder, parmesan and butter and stir thoroughly. Delicious!

Plain rice and home brand parmesan is the bomb. Yes, I am still 10 years old.
