Something I've tried to do on my travels (across Aus & internationally) over the past decade is that when ordering a drink is where possible ordering something a bit more local compared with what I'd get back home
Out last night and I could have easily ordered a Jimmy Squires anything but that's a pretty common option, so I went with something new
Didn't realise how bad it would be - I got through the pint but could have easily stopped after the first sip

I went to a brewery near the warf in San Francisco and had a moose drool. Yes it was as bad as it sounds.

I didn't mind Coors Lite - but I also didn't have to pay for it as it was supplied by people i was meeting
I did visit friends and their fridge was full of Bud & Mountain Dew - no food in the house
It took me an hour to finish one Bud - I didn't go back for a second
