Truer words never spoken, etc.

As someone who used to use cassette tapes i can relate to that. Still though i prefer the new way to the old way.

It's nice to access any kind of music i want via Spotify on a pc, tablet or phone. Of course music going online/digital killed off the record store which is sad.

It's a bit like how the likes of Netflix etc killed off the video store. We gained a lot and also lost a lot with the advancement of technology imo.

There's this competition they always play at every Warriors home game. It's called spot the crowd.:laughv1:
Pondering Season 4 GIF by Power
so it must be just a OOB's crowd this week then, as I suppose they don't travel either ?

I'm sure they can squeeze that one man and his dog into the team bus.:laughv1:

Don't quote me, :p I will be busy not being here this week.

Have fun, see you next week, unless we are playing the Dragons, in which case I'll see you in 2 weeks.
Oh right we'll try and keep the show on the road while you're gone mate.

I developed my severe skepticism of the content industry back when I was deeply into collecting and swapping bootleg recordings. They've been trying to establish pay-per-view/listen for decades, and they are just about successful.

For that reason, I still purchase physical media (LP, CD, DVD, BD), immediately rip them to lossless digital, and store everything (including purchased digital media) to archival hard drives.

I understand the appeal of subscription services, but they're all subject to the volatile nature of licensing. What you liked last week might disappear forever (I've experienced this myself with Amazon digital media and TV subscriptions). (I'm on a friend's Spotify family plan, but I only use it to deep-dive into new bands, to decide whether to purchase my own copies.)

Nobody can erase my hard drives but me.

The Warriors sure have weird team uniforms...

WTF is up with Unibrow Ted Bundy there in the middle?

The second coming

Neither bid got up in the end
Bloody Anti expansion naysayers even existed way back then.

Which club? I couldn't find anything about Trolls on sweetfa+...

Genuinely curious, as failed expansion bids seem to get integrated into the humongous book of Sweet FA lore and in-jokes, that never get explained.
Spotswood has a great history with qooty, there also may have been a league there long before the Ophidians were born, more will be revealed at a later date.

The only good thing I ever did as Gumbies captain was perform the job so incompetently that Barrybran felt obligated to step in.

This is a sad day for the Gumbies.
Good to know it wasn't just Were Wolf then.:p

Spotswood was originally the trolls ground, they folded years ago and when we formed the Ophidian Old Boys instead of making a new ground we came in and took it over.
You sound like an invasive species tbh. Must have missed that episode of Sweet Border Security where Mobbs was letting anything through Customs.

NOW I know why our ground is called Spotswood. Makes sense. IRL umpired and stood on the sidelines as a parent many, many times.

Two months ago Telstra TV shut down here and moved their customers to Fetch.

Except those who bought movies etc from Telstra rather than ppv lost everything because the license didn't transfer. Some people lost thousands.

Welcome to the US corporate model.

IDGAF, the rare stuff I watch these days is either live streamed free (eg Tour de France) or... obtained 🏴‍☠️

It's happening up here now, Telstra has been flogging Kayo for years and now they're going into competition against Foxtel even though they have shares in it so they turf Kayo out.

U2tigers, Elton Johns Wig and myself support Dinsdale Stupid Hat Friday call and have started the Pre-Friday stupid hat celebration, so to all the stupid hats cheers big ears

I'm not quite sure why Pies supporters are so jubilant over on that Carlton/Collingwood banter thread on the main board.

A case of the damned laughing at the damned if ever there was one.:laughv1:
