Good old Bevo having a whinge and AFL wanting to make him happy.

Having an unbiased look at the game just gone I'm not sure the AFL could do a whole lot more for the Dogs really.

Four [4] goals to one small stager from free kicks???? Seriously!!!

I hope the officials on Saturday are fully alerted to the strategy.

Disagree...given our Ruck wo's this season, I would gladly take his 8 games. He was fit and available for selection last week for the bulldogs and they chose not to have him in their best 22. Right now he would definitely not be a liability for us. Admit 2021 is his last year but he would be handy in our 22 right now.
Stef is terrible after a long injury lay off IIRC from last season.

I'm on record as not being an Archie fan but I'd prefer him over a coming in after a long break due to injury Stef at the moment.

I would be extremely surprised to see Harris moved into the forward line as our defenders have their hands full with the Bulldogs forwards. It makes no sense to me to further weaken our backline by taking Harris out when this game they need him down there firing the most.
Agree no way Harris goes forward that would be a terrible move
We just need someone to fill McStay for one week
Only other change i would consider is Fullarton
I am assuming Ah Chee is not playing

problem is we down in Key Forwards with McStay and Hipwood out. Hence Fullarton playing probably too young still which is another problem.
Have for probably the only time this year all 5 tallish backs available.. Andrews, Dizzy, Adams, Payne and Lester
Only play 3 of them.. Gardiner out of sorts although say Fagan plays him.. So what to do with Payne and Lester.
one of those 2 forward. If we keep Fullarton and Big O as is as Fagan normally likes not to move too much

Think Adams been our best tall back when played this year like to keep him in the backline.
Hence the thought of Harris forward

I'm sure this has been asked already but is there any clue at all about why D Robertson has been left out in the cold?

I'd bring him in (wing) and move M Robbo forward.

With Hippy and now McStay out we definitely need another tall forward, there are a few options >

1- Ballenden.
2- Payne.
3- Big O with Archie in the ruck.
4- Adams forward with Payne in his spot down back.

No way in the world Harris will be switched forward or Lane or H.Smith come in, thinking about it a bit I'd be going with Payne forward to start and if it's not working swap him with Adams.

I don't like any of the options put up.

Don't have any other answers either.

One thing I definitely would not do is put Adams forward.

The way Andrews and Gardiner are going we'd get decimated without Adams there so unless there's something we don't know and those 2 guys are suddenly going to recapture their form I wouldn't be moving him.

Payne is an option back or forward and he and Ballenden are the only choices we have. I don't much like Lester forward either ,he struggles to turn quickly enough in the backline ,play him forward ?? Hmmmmm. He replaces Gardiner and in the event Gardiner gets up let's hope we've got a miracle worker in the med. rehab. area.

The idea of McInerny playing forward when he's one of our best players overall at the moment where he is and could be a big influence against this opposition is just plain stupid (apologies to anyone offended),and the idea of Fullarton or Archie rucking out most of the game gives me nightmares.

McStay and Ah Chee going down is a big blow because they're 2 of our most versatile players. Ah Chee is an easy fix back or forward and adds pressure.

It'd go totally against everything Fagan has said and done to make any dramatic changes that aren't forced so I wouldn't be holding my breath . Totally unsurprised if he keeps Fullarton as the other tall in the forward line.

Would rather bring in Payne and throw him or Harris forward. Need Adams to mark Naughton and has been the pick of the tall defenders lately.

Either could work. How does Payne go forward? I've never heard of him playing forward and know Adams has done a bit of it in the past.

If we go with usual minimal changes approach, it'll be Lester for McStay and that's it.

Whether Lester plays forward or swaps with Adams to play defense may be the final discussion point.

Who ever plays not as big an issue as intensity , lions have to hit the dogs hard as we have done off and on all year , they carnt have room or time , every time they get the pill we need to be rubbing them into the Gabba ! This standing back waiting for it to happen won’t cut it. a few egos need popping back to reality or it’s moth balls

what was dished up against Melbourne should not be tolerated , give ballenden a go forward he can mark and kick. Gardener only 50% if that he needs a rest, Lester can cover him, maybe Robertson in for prior

anyone who will give everything not bystanders wasting another great chance

what about a debutant forward? We've got one especially whos ready to go.

Playing someone smaller forward in Berry didn't work for us last week but the Dogs don't have May and Lever and we played poorly.

I can see Lester as the prototype you'd go for but I'm not a fan.

Berry could work against the Dogs if our whole M/F turns up and we get it in often enough.

And this time he and the team will be prepared. At 193 CM Berry is an okay option. Think I'd prefer him in the mid field though roughing up the Bont
