Send Juddas to Richmond

What the hell are you talking about, chris judd is no certainty to be the player he was with the eagles, why beacuse of the players around him.He isn't going to have other gun players around him like kerr.cousins etc and a great ruckman like cox feeding him and a of course a good forward line,if he went to other clubs like carlton, essendon, melbourne.
At collingwood he will have a close replica of the eagles in a year or two
once we can get a number one ruckman. Our midfield-- judd, thomas, pendlebury, swan, didak, johnson, burns, davis, holland, dick, and a host of others next year.

So you are saying that Judd is no certainty to be as good as he was because he won't have Cox, Kerr and Cousins around him?

But at Collingwood he'll play with a midfield which you say will be a close replica. So why won't he be as good then?

That's true but once he nominated his clubs it became our responsibility to try to get him where he wants to go. If we don't then it will reflect us badly. Sure, we could always say he got to Victoria but players will know that he didn't get to his preferred club.

Why it is the responsibility of the Eagles to get him to where he wants to go? Its the responsibility of the club that Judd selects to cough up what he is worth to the Eagles to get the deal done. If Judd doesn't get to the club he selects it will be because the club that he selected dosen't rate him highly enough to give a fair trade.

Judd made the decision to leave the Eagles to benefit himself. The Eagles will make a decision on Judd to benefit themselves, no apologies required.

Jesus Christ. He gave you a premiership and you shove him off?

Your supporters are a joke.

He left us.

We can tell him to **** off if we please.

Couldnt give a **** what you think tbh, get off your ****ing high horse. :thumbsu:

Collingwood logic right there.

Stems from the top.

Indeed, it's the Eagles responsibility to win games of footy and the best way to do that what be to take some kind of trade for a club. As far as I'm aware we'll have 4 clubs to choose from, if all the trades are crap we can either take the best or take the one we get from a nowhere club, so we know Judd wont hurt us.

If we can't get him to his first preference, that's fine, but we should make an effort to get him to where he wants to go to create the right perception within the footy community.

This business of letting him go into the PSD to send a message would backfire because:

- teams would see we're no good to trade with and all the times we didn't take teams to the cleaners would be wasted (Adelaide with Stenglein etc.), plus we wont be able to swing deals in the future and
- We wouldn't make our team any better.

I guess a lot of what I'm saying is about the perception we create within the football world. There's no need to send some pigheaded message just to frighten our playing list into loyalty and other clubs into fearing us on the trade table.

Judd is worth 1, 2 & 3.

but you may have to settle for 2 and 4 if judd goes to the demons.

Depending on what melbourne want to part with for pick 2.

He deserves it.

Think how satisfying it would be to watch Juddas battle through next year in a bottom 4 side. He'd get triple-teamed every week and get the living suitcases belted out of him. There'd be no-one else to draw a tag. No-one to block for him. No-one to protect him.

It would send a powerful message: if a player walks and nominates one club, this is what happens to you. I wonder how Paul Connors would like that.

There would be the added bonus of shafting Collingwood and watching them gnash their teeth over missing another gun player because they were too pig-headed to offer a decent trade.

Also, I don't think we would have to lose Juddas to Richmond for nothing. We have a ready-made Veale deal already in the works.

If Juddas' chosen club has offered us nothing decent by the fourth day of trade week, we send Mitch Morton to Richmond for picks 2 and 17 (and maybe a player) and we make sure Juddas ends up in the PSD.

Send Juddas to Richmond.

I'm with you mate. With the latest rumour deal involving Travis Johnstone and possibly Brad Miller going to the Swans and we lose Darren Jolly and pick 11, Chris Judd can go to the Pre-Season draft.

Why should the Swans lose Darren Jolly and pick 11 for overrated Melbourne hacks?

The Demons fans just don't get it, if they want Chris Judd, they would have to give up something worthwhile instead of offering the Swans hacks!

Piss Judd off to the Pre-Season Draft, if the Swans are offered overrated hacks from Melbourne. Then Judd could suffer at Tigerland.

Not that I want to get nothing in the PSD......but I almost choked when I started reading the TJ rumours. 7 news over here hasn't mentioned the Sydney option, Barra the wonder clown has his 'mail' simply as Melbourne firming and TJ heading west.

I would hate to see any other club lumbered (particularly mine or a respected foe like Sydney) with the lazy ****. I actually want to see Judd end up at Melbourne, but TJ is their problem, and they are more than welcome to keep him thank you.

And to think the Demon supporters think I have no credibility at all because I have knocked back Travis Johnstone. Nobody outside of the Demons rate TJ at all. I agree with you about TJ, the Demons are welcome to keep him.

problem is everyone wants Judd on the cheap and Judd is the best player in the competition and probably the best player of his generation ... WCE deserve to be properly compensated.

Compensated for what? They don't DESERVEanything and if they get too cute they could end up with nothing.

What Planet are you from? WCE wont be sending Judd anywhere he will end up at a Club of his choosing and the Eagles will thankfully take what they can get. They dont, by any stretch of the imagination, hold the upper hand and the smart people at the Club know that.

West Coast deserves as much what Fremantle would get if Pavlich didn't sign up - Market value.

There are 4 clubs desperate to get him, the Eagles will get something decent once the auction starts.

If Pavlich hadn't stayed at Freo I dont believe that they would've deserved anything in return either.

In reality there are more than 4 clubs desperate to get Judd but in actual fact there are only a couple in a position to get him let alone afford him and one of them will not give up picks 1 and 3 so WC can forget about that scenario.

There are 4 clubs that Judd selected, all 4 clubs held extensive presentations with Judd. You're dreaming if you don't think all 4 clubs wouldn't clear the decks to accomadate Judd under the salary cap. Make no mistake they will all think they are a chance to get him and bid accordingly.

Carlton has said that pick 3 is tradeable. As far as not trading pick 1, if Carlton are willing to give a player the captaincy as well as 7 million dollars then I wouldn't bet against them offering pick 1 if push came to shove.

If i were a WC supporter i'd want the club to be a little more media active on the send him to Richmond message.

You guys are getting screwed if you only get 4,11,20. For the best player that has ever been traded (at his peak).

We got 14,18 for Hay and similar for Thompson. Got 1,20,36 for Croad/McPharlin.

I think Judd is worth 3 top 10 picks, 2 in the first 5 easily. 2,4,11 is more like it, but given he has the power, maybe thats not reasonable. But your starting point from what i gather in the media with the rumours is quite low.

Also lets assume that Judd and Franklin would be the most valuable players at the trade table, and are approximately worth similar right now.

If 4,11,20 was offered for Franklin, all we woudl profit is picks 11,20 given he was pick 5, and we get pick 4. That seems rediculous.

wou\ldnt touch franklin with a 10 foot pole for obvious reasons

he is a bad egg.

stop showing your bias and comparing him to judd
judd is a model citizen, with a brownlow, norm smith, aa honours, and he was captain of a premiership.

no comparison IMHO.
