Great minds think alike 🤗

Do you have the posting stats for S31 Gumbies there yet?

VVV

IN: Dory_77 (rookie), miggs (Bombers).
OUT: okeydoke7 (retired), Taylor (delisted).

ROOKIES
Just the one rookie this season for the Gumbies: Dory_77 (9.1 ppw), who as their ninth most active poster has slotted in nicely.

LOSSES
The inactive pair of Taylor (S31 0.0 ppw) and okeydoke7 (S31 0.0 ppw) were kicked to the curb.

GAINS
It was a bit of an unfortunately quiet trade period for the Gumbies, with no recruits in the off-season, and miggs (2.3 ppw) picked up mid-season following being delisted by the Bombers.

PLAYERS TRENDS
Not the greatest news on the activity of the existing Gumbies posters, with several going inactive. Ned Ryerson (from 52.2 to 0.0 ppw), @wherearemy keys (from 3.8 to 0.0 ppw), @saintskildaman (from 0.8 to 0.0 ppw) and EagleOz (from 3.2 to 0.0 ppw) were not spotted at all this season, whilst NSWCROW (from 0.4 to 0.1 ppw), Spuddd (from 0.4 to 0.1 ppw), BlueE (from 2.6 to 0.4 ppw), Jivlain (from 4.2 to 1.6 ppw) and Grimesy87 (from 4.1 to 2.5 ppw) barely sighted.

That left ten Gumbies to contribute a whopping 97.8% of their total output. Despite this skipper Barrybran (from 77.7 to 53.5 ppw), omgfridge (from 73.6 to 59.8 ppw), Lingua Ignota (from 36.2 to 27.1 ppw), Brick Loosener (from 16.6 to 12.3 ppw), Rodney Dangerfield (from 18.6 to 11.7 ppw) and StFly (from 11.6 to 7.9 ppw) all reduced their posting numbers, with only Riviat (from 60.8 to 75.5 ppw) and GWS Goose (from 54.4 to 64.9 ppw) seeing an uptick.

TEAM TRENDS
Not a whole lot of pretty viewing from the Gumbies unit this season, ranking last in several categories. Their total match thread posts reduced by 26% (from 7,365 to 5,470), the sum of their weekly median posts fell from 341 to 305, and the average number of Gumbies in match threads fell from 13.76 to 12.38 - the lowest number in the league since the Warriors in Season 30. They also only had 18 active posters for the season, a decline of 3 posters since Season 31.

Their match thread share fell from a solid 48.64% to a low 40.32%, whilst unsurprisingly their reliance on their Top 5 posters increased from 73.55% to a whopping 82.12%. They had a league-low 10 posters with over 2% share of their total posts, and a league-low 5 posters with over 5% share (down from 6). They remained stable with 10 posters averaging over 5 posts a week, and a decrease from 10 to 8 posters with over 10 ppw.

They only reached 300 posts on 9 occasions for the season (a league low, down from 13), and only ticked over 600 posts once (Round 2 vs. the Roys) - down from 3 times last season.

So not great viewing for the Gumbies, who comfortably have the weakest match thread posting squad depth. Luckily they're still over double the total posts from the doldrums of Seasons 27 and 28, so there is no risk of folding any time soon. They have a loyal core, and surely they are going to be on the front foot this off-season to bring 2 or 3 quality posters to their ranks. They're probably 5 active posters short of a solid mid-range team, so as usual for Barrybran there is plenty of work to do going forward.

IN: ImissFrosty (rookie), Bluelegs (rookie), Pickitt (rookie), cats2rise (Roys), Hate (Phoenix), damicky (Furies).
OUT: brucetiki (delisted), boncer34 (Royals), Thetrader15 (delisted), amos (delisted), fancyscum (delisted), ImissFrosty (Furies).

ROOKIES
There were three new rookies for the Demons this season, including the infamous midseason rookie swap. Given the lack of rookies in recent Demon history this was quite the big deal. In good news for the Demons all three rookies were a success for them: Bluelegs (12.9 ppw) was there most weeks, and Pickitt (130 ppw) managed to integrate himself across the league like a virus. ImissFrosty (74.7 ppw) was also highly active for the Demons until he was traded with damicky (115 ppw) during the midseason trade period.

LOSSES
Inactive players brucetiki (S31 0.4 ppw), Thetrader15 (S31 0.6 ppw), amos (S31 0.0 ppw) and fancyscum (S31 0.0 ppw) were delisted in the offseason, and boncer34 (S31 0.6 ppw) moved to the Royals. As mentioned earlier ImissFrosty was traded to the Furies midseason.

GAINS
The Demons successfully nabbed Hate (S31 24.0 ppw) from the Hawks and cats2rise (S31 29.8 ppw) from the Gumbies. Hate (17.3 ppw) maintained similar posting numbers at his new club, but cats2rise (3.1 ppw) seemed to get lost in the noise.

PLAYERS TRENDS
There were increases in posting from Callums_Guns (from 63.5 to 89.4 ppw), cooney (from 44.1 to 67.2 ppw), sausageroll (from 32.9 to 35.6 ppw), Tarkyn_24 (from 29.0 to 47.9 ppw) and sante (from 11.1 to 17.4 ppw) this season - but the incredible thing about the Demons numbers is that even though the overall numbers improved massively, many of their core and existing players reduced their output!

manangatang (from 49.9 to 37.3 ppw), Headless (from 36.8 to 11.2 ppw with a massive hiatus), DemonJim (38.0 to 22.3 ppw), pantskyle (from 33.6 to 18.2 ppw), Proper Gander (from 23.6 to 12.2 ppw), moginie (from 22.1 to 17.6 ppw), Yakker (from 22.1 to 8.3 ppw), Azarole (from 24.9 to 18.7 ppw), DERO (8.9 ppw to 4.9 ppw), jmoo wan (from 8.1 to 4.3 ppw) were all posting less this season. Importantly however, despite the lower numbers they still all showed up most weeks.

TEAM TRENDS
The Demons once again had some fantastic team numbers this season. Overall posting output increased by a whopping 42% from 7,456 to 10,882, their sum of weekly median posts increased from 370 to 701, and they increased their average number of posters each week from 17.06 to a phenomenal 19.88...just short of that magical 20 number.

Total posters increased from 23 to 26. They slightly increased their match thread share from 53.82% to a almost concerningly high 55.76% and maintained their league low reliance on their Top 5 posters, although the Pickitt effect saw it increase from 51.65% to 58.69%. The number of their players contributing more than 2% of their total posts increased from 13 to a league high 14, but curiously there was a reduction of players with >5% of their output from 9 to 7. Once again they only had 2 players with over 10% of their posts - the lowest in the league. The number of Demons with over 5 posts a week increased from 15 to 18, and those with over 10 per week from 13 to a league leading 17 - but those with over 20 posts per week dropped from 12 to 9.

Last season the Demons failed to reach 300 match thread posts on four occasions, yet this season it only happened once (Round 16 vs. the Royals). They also increased the number of rounds from 600+ posts (from 4 to 10) and doubled their 900+ post weeks from 1 to 2.

So another successful season for the Demons. Their recruits were all prolific, and although several of the regulars reduced their posting numbers they still turned up in the match thread every week.

Not even close damicky

I was at least top 5 what're what're on about.

Top 5 on the upside down ladder? Also, why are you grave digging threads and thumbs downing posters from 3 years ago? You are a strange campaignery ...
