Tips for this week

Chelsea Heights to rally in a big one against Clayton. 20 points
Depending on which Chelt fronts they could be a sniff. Dingoes due to lose one Too hard to call but maybe an upset by 15 points Chelt
East Malvern too good for a disappointing City. Panthers by 18 points
East Brighton V Heatherton, even with quite a few out the Vampires and daylight
Local derby between the 2 Bentleigh teams has nostalgia and that's all. St. Pauls in a canter!

Heard the Keysborough Football Club had another Club meeting this week about joining the SFL. Two years ago the players overwhelmingly voted against it. Now they are rock bottom after losing to Hampton Park last week I think their attitudes may have changed.

Raging Rhino, I reckon about 3 or 4 years ago Barnesy and the President of the League presented to them as they reported this at one point, and the players voted against it. They are totally out of their depth where they are and will at least be competitive in the SFL. Excellent facilities and are perfectly located to compete in the local SFL.

After starting this debate, I just thought I'd change things up a bit...here are some photos of the newly re-surfaced Jack Barker Oval. Looking mint!

Thanks to all those people from all SFL clubs that helped with our petition to get Bayside council to overturn their decision. We look forward to hosting you at JBO in 2014.

I was expecting to be playing on this on the Weekend. Chelt's ground would now have to be the worst surface in the comp? Dingley's was the same for the first 18 months after being laid. The council actually made us train on other ovals to allow it to repair during the season.

Us too! Bayside council in their infinite wisdom didn't upgrade the drainage on the oval, only re-laid the surface, so at the moment it gets soaked as soon as there is even the lightest of showers. It is something that we have been dealing with since the start of the season unfortunately, but they assure us that it will be fixed ASAP. They also decided to mow it on Thursday when it was sopping wet and the tractor tore up most of the oval. Great decision!

Who are they as most of your better players seem to be available. Not like Graham to go goaless
Do you think Dingley can go through underfeated
Bolger and Bennetts are walk up starts, Quigley would be another (leaves this week but has been injured). The positive from the weekend was that the margin was under 3 goals at the 15min mark of the final term with most of our better players hardly having touched the ball. Plenty of improvement to be done. Dingley are a very well drilled outfit, extremely impressive. I'd be wary of East Brighton however with players returning and a few late recruits.

Besides Lynch who looked unfit when I saw him against Dingley, what other late recruits.

Adam Myhal is one who was cleared from Collegians. Played at Dingley 3 years ago. Finished up playing Reserves at Dingley in his last year. I heard they offered him $300 a game. Expensive fringe player.

As he should be. He is obviously stirring up some ex Dingley teammates then because this came from his mouth. Must be at least a pie and and can of coke in it for him as for someone to be cleared from the ammo's with a fortnight to go before clearances close and the fact he lives no where near Brighton.

Maybe a sausage roll and a coke

Good season to follow with two halves of the ladder.. dingley EB and SP all challenging for favouritism and Chelt CH and East Malvern challenging for 4th 5th and 6th. interesting to see how the ladder pans out
