Traded Shai Bolton, pick 14 & F3 (Rich) traded to Fremantle for picks 10, 11 & 18

This trade would've already been done if Freo didn't have pick 11

It's wild how actually having picks changes things, its almost better to not have too many picks when trading for players lol
Just trade all of your picks then

Absolutely correct.
Hawks going to get a deal on Barrass, and Geelong seemingly getting a deal on Smith are 2 great examples.

Partially why I want to trade out the Eagles f1, so in the case Warner nominates us Sydney can't demand a likely top 4 pick, they'd have to just take what we have lol

I went back to see what value Richmond attached to Lachie Neale.

If GC , WC and Freo were smart they’d collude and all deduct the 25-50% Richmond extortion tax , pushing the picks back to about where they belong

Reality is the buyers hold the upper hand in these deals

The seller knows those values plummet in 12 months and those players don’t want to be there

Just getting this ready for Peter Bell and Wallsy

Idiots 👍

Bolton is a mid/fwd. Very few players in the league who can average 20+ disposals and 1+ GPG over a season.

Owies couldn't tie his bootlaces.
Very few players do Sonny was one
None of them are on over a million dollars except the million dollar man
Can you list the teams that have a fwd flanker as the highest paid player at the club
tiger fans like the AFL ignoring the ridiculous contract million dollar man is on like it’s not there.
Remember how much we laughed at blues when they spent 8-900k on a back flanker in Williams.

Wait, so the Dockers have offered 2 first? Why haven’t Richmond taken that and ran, that’s Christmas in October.

Because they’re at an all you can eat buffet, and frozen with indecision about what to eat first.

Of course we did, he played the easiest position on the field and that was years ago. Ridiculous contact.

1.1 isn't ridiculous for Bolton and lucky for you we can help out in that regard.....for 10 and 11.

Seems like offer will be picks 10,18.

If Tigers want 10,11 they need to sweeten the deal a lot.

Any ideas?
Tiges don’t need to do anything.

He’s contracted.

Because Richmond are specialists in forcing teams to overpay for their average players

Possibly the most inaccurate post in this thread.

We have a great history in letting players go on the cheap or at a reasonable price.

We were really tough on Adelaide holding out for pick 68 for Stengle

Bulldogs kicked and screamed when we squeezed 64 out of them for Lloyd

Gold Coast were horrified at giving up a R3 selection to get back a R3 selection and two players (C Ellis and Miles)

Dan Butler for 56

Markov for a future 3rd

Yep, we’re animals

This argument would hold a lot better if:
A) the players werent contracted multiple years in the future.
B) richmond were in contention for a flag.

We can hold out for as long we need to. Pick 1 next year is pretty much locked in for us and if we dont do these trades this year we just revisit them next year. 10-18 for Bolton isnt going to magically become pick 30 12 months from now.

And yet now you want 6 + 13 for Rioli when I’d argue he’s not even worth 6, and you want West Coast to pay more for an uncontracted Baker than Geelong are going to pay for a contracted Bailey Smith

I don’t see how past trades are relevant here.

Adelaide have just paid 28 for a contracted Neal-Bullen. 14 for Baker and 2x early firsts for Rioli is criminal.

10+18 is more than acceptable for Bolton, and as has already been suggested in this thread, would’ve been accepted if Fremantle didn’t also hold 11.

C. They don’t want to be there
