No .. it's not

Adelaide are still going hard for Petty .. and apparently he's open to move home

Maybe not this year, but after you rehab him and he's out of contract next year .. who knows?

You might be taking a TPP hit to keep him :thumbsu:

You can thank Mark Williams
Pretty sure he has 2 years of his contract left.

Without trying to derail the thread, have you wondered why he signed a 6 year deal a year out?

Maybe Tasmania?

Without sarcasm, good for Freo though
Seems the going thing these days. Clubs like to lock in core players for as long as possible, presumably at a discount as a price for the longevity. Clubs seem to have decided that worst comes to worse they'll salary dump the player in the final years if they need to.

One of these days though, someones going to sign a 7 year deal then immediately hit an ACL or concussion issues and the club is going to be stuffed

TBF .. I believe the source on Cox was good (for reasons) .. well at the least the part we were well into him, and that he was considering coming home

Adelaide is doing the same, but only with its young interstaters. It's a no brainer, at least when your trying to build a list.

Weighing up the risk?

Yep

Go to bed .. your reducing yourself to a light weight troll who can barely string a sentence together
Maybe aim your anger at the people who don't know basic things like contract lengths?

Oh wait, that was you claiming Petty was out of contract in 2024.

Embarrassing.

Our forward line is currently harder to break into than yours.

If you had our forward line during the finals series, likely you would be playing in the grand final tomorrow.

Clearly your Achilles...
its a weakness yes but its also greatly overstated. we basically had the same forward line in 2021. we just didn't kick straight for goal. we lost to the likely premiers by 7 points and just couldn't kick straight. and kicked 9.17 against the blues with half of our forward line out injured. we'll be ok but yes it's not a strength.

How is Ben Brown & Tom McDonald going... same as when you won a premiership?

what's it with crows fans threatening the PSD? You're stuck in the dark ages if you think thats ever going to happen. this is a 28 year old that is always injured. It'll be a nothing pick in the 40's
What? Why would they take a pick they can't use? How's it a threat to begin with?

hardly. he missed 13 weeks during the year with injury and poor form and then averaged 2 goals a week in the finals which wasn't amazing considering we won the granny by 70+ and the prelim by 60+.
If you had a key forward kicking 2 goals per week in finals this year, you would likely be playing today... certainly last week.

I said in my very 1st post the Dees will need to give up something of value to get McAdam... otherwise the Crows have nothing to loss by forcing him into the PSD as can re-draft him before the Dees.

It's not going to come to this, but the idea by some that you can pick up a non-free agent best 22 player for nothing is crazy talk.
