He better get it this week :(
He has been getting pipped every single week to be honest.
I cant think of any one piping him this week ?:thumbsu:

His use of the ball is superb - at the moment he may not be a great stats getter - but when he does get the ball, the excitement levels in the stands rise and usually a goal results. Very worthy of nomination and by season's end, a lot of football fans, and not necessarily Bulldog fans, will be saying "this kid can play!"

I personally don't really like the doggies/ Or thier players (and NO, not because Aka went to them ethier), but when i see higins play he uses the ball like he's been playing in the AFL for a 5 years +, and now i'm a fan of his.

Like many have said before, Higgins reminds me of a young Cousins and if you are a Bulldogs fan you should be very excited.

Reminds me of a young Acker, ie the balance, foot skills and pace, I hope for your sake he lacks the mouth but a very good prospect who will move to the middle in the next 2 to 3 years.

no you cannot. only one play ever was, which was goddard i believe, and they changed it once that happened, as it did nto allow younger players to develop apparantly

"he AFL Rising Star Award was instituted in 1993 to recognise and encourage talented young players in the AFL. After each round of home and away games, a player is nominated and at the end of the season a panel of experts selects the winner. The winner must be under the age of 21 at January 1 of that year, must not have played more than 10 games to the start of that season and must not have been suspended by the AFL or State League tribunals during the season (as with the Brownlow Medal, players found guilty of certain offences and fined or reprimanded by the Tribunal remain eligible to win the award)."

Nothing there about previous seasons
