Gday guys, just finished watching the replay this afternoon for the first time since seeing the game live and amongst all the positivity of the result and I hate to bring up a negative but I was a disappointed with our finishing in front of goal in that last quarter.

We kicked 7 behinds in the last quarter including missing complete gimme's by Davey, Dempsey, Hille and Monfries IMO.

I think the result flattered Carlton to be honest.

We did miss some easy ones in the last, particularly Davey running in and Dempsey's set shot, however we also kicked some very good ones during the game. Don't think we can complain when Fevola kicks 4 from 12 gettable shots.

Hey guys,

I was thinking that originally as well. I couldnt beleive the roadrunner davey missed that one. However as the other guys have said we missed some sitters, I doubt Fev has kicked that badly in the last 5 years and wiggins miss is one that springs to mind as well....

i can't believe we let you off the hook, if we had have got out to 45 pts in front instead of 27 you boys probably wouldnt have had the confidence to go on with the job...Was a great game tho and as much as Lloyd is a w***er pretty boy...;) he played unbelievably well.

As much I i loved Jimmy Hird, Misit etc I could never like Lloydy...haha

Your foot speed was what killed us and if you can take on every game like that and have your big blokes taking contested grabs your could finish in the 8. You need to be careful you dont rush your slow blokes in and stuff the team dynamics eg; McPhee.

Its funny how we used to knock you off when we were no good and now when we are supposed to be a top 3 side  you knock us off...its great, let the rivlry continue!

As I posted elsewhere, I am just happy that we won. The way things were going and kicks being sprayed in all directions by both teams, the game could have gone either way.

One lousy kick, and everyone would have said we played lousy and Carlton played like champions to be. Hell!! footy is weird, isn't it?

We are very lucky we got up for the win.

Not that we didn't deserve it, but if we'd lost, a lot of the attention would have been on our inabaility to finish off in the last quarter.

David Hille should have finished the game off with a goal in the closing minutes, or even passed over to Davey who would have run into space. I guess Davey should have also passed off earlier in the quarter too.

But for the most part our kicking is good and it's what kept us in the match, being 15.7 @ 3/4 time.

Tell ya what!! that win was worth a helluva lot more than the 4 points. Our guys were ecstatic at the final siren; they sure as hell needed a good lift in their spirit, and they got it in buckets. After all, they beat the side that was "talking" Grand Final only hours earlier. That look on Matty's face was priceless. :thumbsu:
I know I don't remember my feet on the ground when walking to Richmond Station afterwards. Then I sat in front of a whole bunch of nice Carlton supporters in the train, so I just told this lady "yeah!! it was bad luck". She thought I was a Carlton supporter. :D
