Another HALO, the Alan Wake game that has been delayed for the last four years which seems like all you do is use your flashlight and Mass Effect 2?

I'm sure both consoles will get some good exclusives next year, can't wait for the 360 ones. As usual the majority of rad games will be on both, it's hardly Megadrive vs SNES any more

I own both consoles and I'd go with the 360 purely for Live. It's just far superior to PSN.
For shooters it's the 360 hands down. Better community, better controls.

Multiplat games are ALMOST always better on the 360, but the PS3 has some quality exclusives coming out.

Don't see a need personally to get a PS3 as I don't have a dieing need for blue ray etc. Can see how you'd make an arguement for both.

Bottom line, get what your friends have so you can beat their ass online. If you have no friend, buying a PS3 or XBOX isn't going to fix that, nor should it be at the top of your priorities.

Guys, I'm sorry but anyone who is a blatant fan body and essentially says "X is best. Y is shit" is automatically wrong.

Both systems share about 80-90% of the best games anyway. And I struggle to believe anyone likes all their own system's exclusives and hates the other system's ones, so just find some middle ground.

My answer is I like Halo and Mass Effect and will probably love Alan Wake, but I would also have loved GOW and other ps3 exclusives if I had the system

Halo 2 and 3 were massive letdowns? Yeah, all that critical acclaim and massive sales points to them being massive failures. I'm sure you'd know though, the guy who hasn't played either.

We haven't seen enough to really judge the gameplay yet. Alan Wake could be anything.

I've only started the original Mass Effect so I can't claim to know the game that well, but it is far more than that. Again, you haven't played it so don't know. The majority of the game is combat and planet exploration. You're explaining Heavy Rain.

Halo wars was an RTS which was not developed by Bungie. No doubt it's an entry into the franchise, but I wouldn't be judging future Halo games on something that is in a completely different genre and developed by a different studio than the rest of the Halo series.

As for ODST, it obviously wasn't as strong as Halo 3, but I didn't expect it to be. It had the Halo 3 multiplayer included so was probably a good entry point for those new to the franchise.

What a load of bullshit. The games are exactly the same as they were on the PS2, they're just on the same disc. Having the graphics bumped from 540p to 720p doesn't make it a different game.

If I was running Crysis on my PC and played it at mediun graphics settings, then played through again on a higher resolution with graphics setting turned up high, would I be playing a different game?

PS3 is a great media centre, 360 you can flash the firmware.

PC can do anything.

I live in a house with 2 gaming PC's, 2 360's and a PS3. Prefer racing, 3rd person etc. on console, but I will only play FPS on PC.
