At the rate we're going we might as well just order a bunch of these:

At least it means Sheed won’t be able to draw on any credits this season. Means a ‘kid’ should be getting a game in the guts every week for remainder of 2022

Trew !!

Cole and Chesser ramping up their recovery workloads ......good news that both are not too far away from playing , Chesser should be rested though I think maybe WAFL maybe for a game or two .

2-3 weeks from now, watch for the following words:

"Setback"
"Slower then expected pace"
"Didn't quite come up"
"Cautious approach"
"We sent him back on the field thinking we couldn't do any more damage to the hamstring, only to have him do the other hamstring"
"Its a corkie. We will wrap it and he will be fine! Oh sh*t, its a tear!"

Yeo's not on the injury list!

I'm going to assume he's made a miraculous recovery and be running out against Carlton. Phew!

Injury list starts clearing up of course no Sheed for the rest of the year and a minimum of 3 weeks for Yeo. Cole is a remote possibility Chesser should be ok for pre-season.

No mention of McGovern.

Saw online headline saying a meeting with medic/specialist to determine best approach for Gov.

Simples - put a line through his season and give him best treatment and come back for pre-season 100%

Fock sending for treatment as pre-season starts.

Our season is determined - now maximise the opportunity provided; games into ‘kids’, try players in different positions, development opportunity in key roles for some players, fix ‘injured’ players now and so on.

Tank without tanking.

Yeah I am guessing that he fractured multiple ribs and had some lung damage maybe a pneumothorax? Getting scans and meeting surgeon next week.
West Coast Eagles star Jeremy McGovern to meet with surgeon to determine if he will play again in 2022

Jeremy McGovern is no certainly to play again this season.
Jeremy McGovern’s season hinges on a meeting with a surgeon next week as the West Coast superstar continues to recover from badly broken ribs.
McGovern was hospitalised for days and had a plate inserted to help repair his ribs that were broken in an incident with Geelong forward Jeremy Cameron in the second quarter of their round 14 clash at Optus Stadium.
West Coast revealed he’d begun to do some light work in their weekly injury report, but the 30-year-old was no certainty to play again in 2022.
Eagles assistant Matthew Knights said the vice-captain’s fate would be determined early next week.
“He’s going to have a conversation with the surgeon next week and until that happens, we’re none the wiser on where that’s headed this season,” Knights told Sportsday WA.
“Knowing Gov he’s going to push as much as he can to try to get back so he’s got that attitude, he just wants to play.
“We should know more on that one next week.”
West Coast will make at least one change for their clash against Carlton on Sunday with Elliot Yeo to miss because of a hamstring injury, while forward Josh Kennedy will come back after being rested for the loss against Richmond.
Yeo said he’d not sustained this sort of hamstring before.
“The best way to describe it is that I felt like I got shot, yeah, it’s not fun,” Yeo told 96FM.

“I was running full tilt, got pushed at the right time, I was extending on that leg and yeah, just felt it go straight away.”
It comes as reports emerge that premiership captain Shannon Hurn is considering playing on in 2023, despite being almost 35.
Former teammate Adam Selwood said the two-time All-Australian deserved at the least to have a conversation with the club around the possibility.
“It’s a tough one. He’s playing great footy. He’s consistent, he hasn’t been too injured this year as well,” Selwood told SEN.
“Someone who’s a 300-gamer, you’ve definitely got to be open to the conversation and see what they’d like to do.
“They’ll get to the end of the year and look at how many people are in contract, how many draft picks they want to use, if there’s any players that want to come home.
“He’s playing footy that qualifies him to go around for another year, it’s just where the club wants to take their direction in the next 12 months with how much youth they want in the squad.”

I’d have Bunga round again. Should still be captain too.
Was against it previously but have shifted. As ex capt I’d imagine he should have good mentoring skills. If so I’d seriously think of giving him another year.
Teaching off the park is one thing but on ground is better. It’s not like we’ll be contending next year. (Of course he’s gotta be up for it.)

Even drafting Chesser was a big risk given his injury history.
Thankfully he has more time to recover and prove his durability compared to a player with only 1 guaranteed year on the rookie list on his second chance.
