Unless they want them under the watch of the head of the S and C who's flying over is the only reason I can think of, does seem like an odd move though
Maybe send them up to Brisbane to get their S&C team to have a look at them.....

Tbh that would be a step in the right direction!

Another hammy for Petch... but Bazzo, Witherden and Rotham should be available this weekend. Yeo's season probably done.
So we have 4 ankle injuries, 3 season long, in our team. Edit - make that 5 with Bazzo added to Rotham as Ankle (test) to go with the 3 x season outs.

The other 17 clubs have 10 ankle injuries between them. 5 of those are not serious (test) and only 3 are season (Cox (Ess), Powell (GC), Mitchell (Haw)) with no other club having more than 1 x ankle injury in their list.

Time to put petch out to pasture.

Cant even string 2 games together ita a *ing joke by our strength and conditioning department.

We’ve managed to take an absolute speedster with a real weapon and somehow ruin him.

Be nice to have Freo's injury list

Sheppard retired
Strnadica retired for all intents and purposes
Culley “test” with his hammy but suspended for two weeks anyway.
Kennedy unavailable after this week.
Trew underdone if available as he hasn’t played for about three weeks
X number of players who will miss this week through injury that we weren’t told about.

I'd say his body just isn't suited to AFL football. If you cant even play 2 games with out popping a hamstring then there is something wrong. Its been happening to him for a few years and he's still relatively young.

Potentially it could be back related. He is having Cyril Rioli type difficulties with staying on the park. Hopefully we can get it right.

Look forward to finding out tomorrow/Friday/5 minutes before bouncedown who our surprise injuries are this week.

It's 2022, it'll be JK

Lower back and hip flexors. Make doing hamstrings really easy. So it really is all about balance. Lots of stretching, pilates, yoga and ballet would make a huge difference.

And he’s had 50 or so games. By now he would’ve shown more - and more often - if he was a better than average player.

I think he could be really good at a sport but it just doesn’t look like it’s football.

Sad to say but to me just another of the 40-100 game list cloggers stopping the real newbies getting more of a go.

I think the S&C team are the ones to blame here. He has talent, we just need to fire our current medicos because theyve failed in their key role over the last two years.

There's also a history of one key injury spoiling the careers of much more talented footballers than Petrucelle - Daniel Kerr after tearing his hamstring off the bone, Jack Trengove with foot fractures. The hamstring pretucelle did about 2 years ago was pretty extreme.

I think his contract is just about right in ending next year, if he can't get his body right/string some good games together then it's probably time he either move to the rookie list or off the list altogether.

Was good on the weekend though and I'm pretty critical of him, hopefully he can sort it all out over the offseason and have a strong preseason that puts the injuries behind him.

All this talk of Petch made me go check out his AFL Tables page.

Had a 12-game stretch to start 2019, with a 6-game run that year & another 6-game run in the middle of 2021.

All his other games have been 3-4 games here or there & just has not had a clear run at it to show anything other than flashes.
I might be naive, but I still hold out hope that there's a decent player in there if he gets his hammies right.
