The Kangaroos have a very good record at Kardinia Park, particularly from the early 70's up to really 2007 in all honesty. I recall Rd 4 1984, the Roos were 0-3, we were 3-0 and led by the Krakouer brothers and Mark Lisle your side handled what was a howling Westerly gale and thoroughly outplayed us. We have won the last few, but considering my second ever VFL game was watching Geelong get towelled by the Roos in 1977 at K.P you are one club that's had as good a record there as any.

Remember the mid-late 90's? Geelong and the Kangas played many games at the G in night time schedules due to our respective ladder positions at the time. But crowd wise, it's unlikely any of Collingwood, Carlton, Essendon and Hawthorn will be at Skilled at this stage. Thus the rest of the Victorian clubs tend to be the ones who cop the rough end of the pineapple.

This page is illuminating....

You will notice the Kangaroos defeated Geelong on 15 of 20 meetings at K.P between 1973 and 2001.

We're just trying to square the ledger!!

Apart from 2007 when else in the 00s? I rely on u lot to provide the stats!

I can't be bothered going through all that I'm on my way to a gig soon, but I recall a game where Leigh Harding kicked 6, I think it may have been Steve Johnson's first game or one of them, and Colbert twice down there where we gave them a hiding which were all in the 2000's, and King kicked a few in the wet. I'm pretty sure they were all in the 2000's. Fact is, they've been a better side since about 2006.

You beat us in the wet in 2000, and whopped us big time in 2002.

Two points for discussion......

1.Treat others the way you would like to be treated.......Wherever "Teach" and the Geelong Football Club Cheer Squad go they are allocated behind the goals...
It's 2011 and all opposition cheer squads are still placed on the 50 metre arc....I know the obvious rebuttal is member seating but how about upholding some tradition. Its something small but i find it an important part of our game.

2. Tradition would also stipulate that if you play a club away and only once in that year, the following year it would be the away clubs home game.....now don't get me wrong...Playing in Geelong gives me personally the opportunity to catch up with family who are all Geelong supporters and I agree with the above statement that we don't complain when we are winning....what club would...but the fact is that we deserve to play Geelong on our home turf....
Solution : Schedule 2 Games between North and Geelong.....1 Home...1 Away....At least once every two years...not that much to ask for...

Haha I suppose my biggest flaw to my arguments is that the 'New' AFL has no idea about Tradition..Oh well apart from Anzac Day

Bang on the money.:thumbsu:

They make bucket loads of cash as it is and denying the opposition club a goal front is just blatant naked greed.

Something needs to be done about it.

In 2008 North and Geelong played at Etihad Stadium the crowd was 38,373. If North was to play Geelong twice during the home and away season I don't think the AFL wouldn't be too unhappy if that size crowd came to Etihad for a game between the two sides.

We beat them down there every year besides 04 when Motlop kicked 7 behinds, we kicked 10 behinds in the last quarter and lost by 11 points.
In 03, 02, 01, 00 we won convincingly.
The 01 game was in the wet and Kingy was BOG.
Turtle killed it in 03 belting a torp for one of his goals.
In 05 we got belted as we did in 06. The 06 game Kingsley kicked 8 and Laidley said Cats would be premiership favourites.
One year premature JYD.
I think the results of the last 5 years are still pretty evident.
But i believe we have the best record at the ground??
