No m8 HP there is roughly 6-8 senior players leaving but they will have that coming in with recruits it looks like have to wait and see and Doveton haven’t recruited a lot and looks like Henwood is retiring so big hole to fill there for them

Doveton didn’t need to add a whole lot 4-5 blokes to replace any blokes leaving will still be a finals lock

Think most clubs will be a chance maybe come down to depth as well e/hill’s have kept most of their list and added a couple which is good for the comp and not having them do a black rock and just come up for a year then go back and try and win a flag in a lower division all the time

If you’re only winning div 3 flags and getting demoted immediately you’re not improving

Problem is they win a flag and go down with in a year or two better to go up and finish middle table and build on that and set the goal to play finals the next year

Most sides that have come up over the last 10 years have been ok and played finals or been competitive not gone straight back down it happens sometimes but seems to be a pattern with black rock hopefully if they win it this season they come up and have a good crack it

Black Rock haven’t lasted more than 2 seasons when they go up…..is it some sort of culture issue or are they just not up to it?

Winning low grade flags one year & being demoted back down again the next happens year in year out in the VAFA. Would rather win a Div 3 flag every few years than none at all.

Bring guys in pay them to win a Div 3 flag go up they all bounce them you get embarrassed for a year or 2 until you go down and do it again good club culture

I did say trying to improve. But again, I'd rather be BR then stuck in div3 for a decade with no silverware.
