So Hawthorn, how does it feel to have an inferior midfield to Richmond?

Midfields will not kick you a winning score regularly, will not stop a lot of goals in the back half, will not win a lot of ruck contests gee Tigers sound alot like the Blues still miles off the pace.

Clubs really need to take a leaf out of Clarcko's book and keep it simple by looking at recent premiership teams. You gotta have quality players over the entire ground. Hawks midfield is not a weak link in it's TEAM structure its just a well oiled cog in the machine.

Richmond has the most promising young defence in the competition.

As evidenced by yourselves when we tore Buddy and Roughy apart. :thumbsu:

Next person that says Hodge plays Loose man in defence is.... as dumb as you are... that is all
Easy buddy, I'm stirring. We all know Hodge plays on the opposition's least dangerous forward so he can zone off. Nothing wrong with that - he does it brilliantly. He's a great player. But you can't claim he plays as a midfielder.
You haven't done anything yet!!! I wish Cuz all the best but 2 years out of the game and a proven drug problem - I hope he doesn't fall off the wagon but I won't be surprised if he does....

Maybe we can start the Tambling greater than Franklin threads again???
Careful. You almost got 'drug' and 'Franklin' in the same sentence.

Richmond were the last team to beat Hawthorn
Thank you for your generous comment fishbowl. And let me reply with some generosity of my own. Shane Tuck is already a better player than his monga dad. Also, our Kelvin Moore has much redder hair.

I'll let you have your moment in the sun, much like Geelong did after Round 17. Much like St Kilda in Round 16 and The Bulldogs in Round 10.

That came back and haunted them.

Hawthorn 18.19 127 Bulldogs 11.10 76
Hawthorn 18.10 118 St Kilda 9.10 64
Hawthorn 18.7 115 Geelong 11.23 89

Hawthorn went to Buddy nearly 100% of the time trying to get his 100 out the way before the finals. Tigers game was insignificant in the scheme of things and Hawks build up into the finals was the main focus. I guarantee you next time Buddy has 3/4 players on him we will use others to kick goals.

Hawks lost a couple of times during the year and it seems that only Doggies supporters are not creaming themselves on there win unlike other tossers. Wow Tigers got 4 points that week what a great effort but finished 9th you seem to forget this. And just another thought to consider Hawks are just as young as the Tigers and are the current PREMIERS.

I know you all must be feeling pretty peeved at the moment. Bradbury premiers and all you have to hang your hat on is that you have two half decent forwards. However, for everybody on bigfooty, I think its finally worth officially stating.

Richmond > Hawthorn. :thumbsu:

This is evenb worse than big coxs thread.

What a laugh!!!

Gee you must really be hurting that you never got Franklin/Roughead or Lewis in the draft.

We have a premiership midfield what do you have a drug addict as your best midfielder cousins, you have a player yes very good but doesnt no his position because wallace doesnt no what he is doing in Delidio(no idea how to spell last name), Foley i cant handle a tag, Tambling Hahahahaha, Cotchin will be good but only second year, dont forget richo (i love richo) but he is getting as old as Michael Tuck. Kane I cant lead the team no more Johnson because he has finally realised he isnt good enough, So please tell me how is your midfield better?

Can someone tell me how we are Bradbury premiers since we beat every team in the finals by over 25 points?

This is one on the funniest threads ever. Keep them coming!!

Ricmond end of 2009 season ladder position 9TH

So, if you have the best young defence, the best young midfield, and the best young KPP fromt he 06 draft in Riewoldt, then why are you still so shit?

Having a team on paper is completely different to having a team that makes finals

It makes me feel a little bit like this...

Makes me feel like that too.

If having an inferior midfield wins us premierships then I hope we have an inferior midfield for ever.

Does anyone seriously think Hawthorn was trying in the last 4 weeks of home and away? These were practice games! It's all about the last Saturday in September!

wow what a thread. even went to see who the op was. once my suspicions were confirmed it all made sense. some of tg's more comical offerings.

One of the worst threads ever created. I apologise on behalf of all Richmond supporters.

Don't worry most sensible Hawks realise the Tigers and others have a few silly fans. Who cares the suns shining the grass is trim its a new season in a few weeks. Everyone is even, fire up!
