I've a quite expensive metronome that not only do I like, but works like a well oiled crevice. Unfortunately it's lost one if it's four rubber base pads. It is fine with some BluTack on the edge, but just knowing it's there makes me uncomfortable. But, without it, rocks annoyingly and is unsteady. What would you do? I'm thinking of just leaving it with a rock but on a nice peace of rug. The OCD part of me wants to burn it and get a new one. Your wisdom is needed on this one.
The rocking would annoy me. Personally, I would try it with the BluTack for a short while and if it was still eating at me that it's incomplete, I would get a new one. However, as it's reliable and you like it, I think you should see how long you can last with the BluTack.

Can you fix or replace the rubber base pad?

In all honesty, I'd almost prefer the slight rock than a replacement rubber corner (or BluTack). With a decent buffer (rug) it's okay, but I know that it would rock if it wasn't there, it's rocking in my mind, my subconscious spirit-level if you will. You know that feeling? I know you do.

Get out the lighter?
Oh, I've done that already.

I've no doubt that you know that I know that you know that I do. The perceived rocking would send my anal hairs spiraling out of control. Can you imagine the turmoil?

If the rocking (and perceived rocking) is too much of a distraction and the BluTack solution is even less favourable, the only other option is to buy a new one, despite the cost. What if you replaced all four rubber pads?

It's the subconscious perceived rocking that doesn't work for me.

Well said.

Yeah burn the ****ing thing.

There's no bar too low at the Saints disco, Foreigner were getting a run there today.

Me and a mate scored free tickets to see them many brunch moons ago. I wasn't a fan but I had nothing better to do, so along I went.

I left even less of a fan than I was going in. Easily the dullest concert I've ever been too. And watched by the dullest crowd.

Alright so daylight savings has begun.. You know the drill, don’t let the WAers win.
I find daylight savings goes hand in hand with music quality increasing. Or at least it's more pleasurable.

I also find immense satisfaction in constantly procrastinating and putting-off changing the car clock to AEST. Then when AESDT comes around you don't need to change it. You've just spent the last 6 or so months getting used to mentally reversing an hour off the time. Satisfaction from a worthy wait.

HOST UPDATE!

Only 6 sets of votes have come in so far.

  • No song has multiple billies yet
  • Only 5 songs remain on donuts
  • 2 songs have reached double digits
With 19 votes to come, it could potentially be a huge late flurry of votes.

I hope Western Australians win. All states that partake in that rubbish practice deserve to be inconvenienced as much as humanly possible.
