My beautiful magnificent grandmother passed away last Tuesday one week after the whole family gathered to celebrate her 99th birthday. She left Ukraine (Russia at the time) during WW2 as the Germans were being driven out. The funeral is on Thursday.
So in her memory, the theme is:

Ukrainian or Russian artists. Go searching people.

Noms due at 11pm AEST Monday. (I'm working a late shift so don't wait up).

You imagine correctly. I sat down with her around 8 years and filmed an interview of sorts. Was phenomenal hearing her tales from childhood, meeting my grandfather, his Russian army experiences, fleeing their home, and the ensuing journey via Austria to finality end up in Oz years later.
I kept thinking about how many amazing things that happened which led to our entire family existing.
I'm so happy I got those stories on film. The footage will get a showing at the wake.
