I was there too, torrential rain and all. Can't believe it was over 15 years ago!! Lowlight of the day was being dragged inside to see Ween while I wanted to stay outside and watch NIN. Unbelievable, but I was only 15 at the time. Shoulda told my mates to get ****ed

Anyways my Soundwave ticket is sorted, highly looking forward to it. I don't know why so many people are complaining about the lineup because whether you like the bands or not it is pretty damn impressive for this country at least. I have my fingers crossed that Murderdolls will be added to the lineup as well....here's hoping!!

Whilst I am pretty happy with this lineup, it has NOTHING on Alternative Nation...

Faith No More, Lou Reed, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Violent Femmes, Ice T, L7, Ween, Primus, Powderfinger, Bodycount, Pop Will Eat Itself, The Flaming Lips, The Tea Party, Therapy, Live, Pennywise. Regurgitator, Supergroove, Def FX, Spiderbait, Budd and the Dreamkillers (those last 2 for the Brisbane gig).

Not a metal gig, but for pure festival. Amazing. Hands up who went?

I was a teen in rural victoria at the time, with no inclination or idea how to even get to a festival....but yes, I'd forget that line up and how awesome it was.

I had no idea therapy? played it though. Man, I would love to see those guys.

To think it was within a whisker of being cancelled due to the weather. Best Melbourne festival ever.

Not sure - did see them as I spent 3 years in Canberra and they were one of the few bands that came to visit - supporting Tea Party no less.

Apparently has been said at the end of every show. Would be pretty funny if the end up not included on the line up, after telling everybody they'd be back for Soundwave.

Also would put money on Murderdolls playing.
