GWAR sidewaves announced today.. Will be going to the Melb one unless the A Day To Remember and The Ghost Inside show is announced for same night.

Either way looks like I'll have 3 sideshows in a row and then the festival on the friday.
Jealous that you're getting to some shows. I hadn't heard of GWAR until I watched them at No Sleep Til. That was some funny shite! Do you know when they'll stop announcing them? Given it's only 2 weeks away.

Yeah it hit me a few days ago just how little time there is between the shows being announced and them actually being played. Normally you're waiting around for months after the announcement for normal shows.

AJ said all Sidewaves should be announced by Saturday.

Early drafts of timetables are on musicfeeds http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/soundwave-2014-set-times-coming-this-week/

My poor demeanour at Megadeth throwng their toys out has been improved greatly by my being able to see about 9 full sets with very few clashes according to these timetables. Seems to be a fair bit of punk/metalcore not on those schedules yet though ie SLF, IKTPQ

I can't see letlive. on those timetables? Either AJ royally ****ed up or those are fake.

Absolutely dumbfounded that Aussie core bands who are lower on the bill are getting bigger sets at better times than a few international bands from same genre on stage 6.

Hoping it changes for Melbourne

Absolutely agree, Suicide Silence and ABR getting pissy half hour sets well early in the piece while Dream on Dreamer gets a 40 minute spot at prime time is a farce.
Having said that I'm cool with the Syd/Bris timetables, no clashes for me plus plenty of time between bands to eat/drink/wander. I hope they stay relatively similar for Adelaide.

Thy Art Is Murder have got the boot after almost making security walk out and have the cops come in to end the Festival.

We are off to shaky start as AJ says this isn't the first incident.

Uncle Acid sidewave in Melbourne = awesome. Missed out on Graveyard sidewave. There's enough bands on Soundwave to make it worth my while so I've taken Friday off. Should be fun.

False alarm anyway. TAIM are still on the tour, but if they try anything, then they wont play for soundwave touring ever again.

Anyone got some recommendations for 1.00-3.30ish for Melbourne?
If I can make it (work depending), then Ill be at Graveyard, Testament, Living End and Placebo in that order - but if you dont like some of those bands - I'd go for GWAR purely for entertainment.

Also if you can make it, try and see Dillinger Escape plan. I hated their music (and still dont listen to it much), but they are the most energetic performers ive ever seen.
